    As Erizat steps out of the swarm of locusts, she gestures towards the creature atop the tavern, calling upon the magic of her blood to curse the winged fiend.

    Move Action: Assuming the locust swarms are a lingering effect, Erizat will move will the shortest distance possible with following priorities in mind (listed in order of importance):
    1. Leaving the area of the locust swarm.
    2. Remaining within 30 feet of the demon atop the tavern.
    3. Moving within 30 feet of the demon opposite the tavern.


    Standard Action: Expend a spell point to activate the Jinx ability of her Gremlin's Presence talent. The demon atop the tavern must make a DC 15 Will save or take a -2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, and skill and ability checks for 1 minute.

    Free Action: Maintain Sign of Returning sanction.

    Both of Roger's arrows miss. That may be the last thing he remembers for a while...Thargril's and Sanamin's attacks also miss, but they are in melee now as they hoped and their opponent is sanctioned. The shadow of the demon across the street rises up under Malik's control.

    Malik, Erizat and San/Thar all quickly move out of the swarms, but the swarm hungrily follows toward the nearest edible flesh. In this case, one swarm follows Erizat and bites for five damage. The other spreads over Rosalyn for two damage. Inside the tavern, the swarm seems to swallow up Yokthok, doing five damage.

    The demons decide to form a musical group known as the maddening cacophony, with their amplifiers turned up to 11. The buzzing is so loud and so painful that some of you will lose control for a little while as your mind reels. (I will let you know before your turn.)

    Rosalyn's turn (act normally)
    Ezora and Margaretta (act normally)
    And finally people in the tavern and on the street. (You can guess how many of them saved.)

    Rosalyn tries to bravely climb the side of the tavern, but slides back down, turning in horror as the swarm bears down on her position.
    Ezora and Margaretta both think AoE against swarms and use their burning hands spells to fry the swarm at the back of the tavern. Yokthok takes a little fire damage instead of ongoing locust damage. (Good trade?) He then takes his turn to stand in place, babbling incoherently, but slightly different from babbling drunkenly.
    All is quiet from the kitchen. (Amazing rolls!)
    One commoner runs away from Malik down the street, while his wife attacks Malik with a shovel, missing very badly.
    Ripper is attacked by a man with a water bucket, who almost connects.
    Two men and a boy are in Roger's proximity. The boy babbles, while the men draw daggers and attack Roger. Both miss.
    Other townsfolk in the (enormous) radius run away, babble, impale themselves, or fight each other.

    Round 3:
    Sanamin and Thargil on the roof may act normally.
    Malik on the ground and the shadow lurk may act normally. He is considered in melee with the woman and she will take AOO's if given them (and later deny it.)
    After they go, Erizat may act normally.
    Then Ripper bites his own leg for 1d8+Str, Stomper attacks nearest and Roger babbles incoherently.

Her preference is for a 5-ft. step, but she will take a move action instead if the 5-ft. step would result in one of the demons no longer being within the range of her sanction.

    Standard Action: Expend 1 spell point for Frost Blast. If the swarm is damaged, it must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be staggered for 1 round. If it lacks a Luck bonus of any kind, it is also affected by Pugwampi's Aura and Overwhelming Power, and thus takes a -2 penalty to this save.

    Meanwhile, atop the opposite roof, his shadow-form demon attempts to strike at its twin.

    Erizat is successful with a 5' step and a blast of cold. Dozens of locust ice pops fall to the ground, some crunching under her feet. (Two swarms down. One remaining)

    The shadow lurk misses the actual demon who looks at it perplexed. Malik successfully climbs up the siding.
    Thargril hits with one of his attacks. The demon ***** its head at him, as if trying to figure out what to do next.

    Roger's turn, then the swarm, demons and Rosalyn.

    The farthest demon lines up a breath weapon across his own shadow and Erizat standing below. (Will save please, even though it is a breath.) Erizat takes four points of fire damage regardless of the save. The shadow too if it can be damaged.

    The demon on the tower roof attacks Thargril with it's grasping pincers and Sanamin with it's deadly stinger.
    Thargril is missed once and hit once for 11 points unless you can make the check to counter it. Sanamin is stung in the chest and wracked with pain as poison starts to flow into his body. (10 damage and a Fort save, please.)

    The last remaining swarm flows over Rosalyn. A hundred microbites do a total of six damage.

    With all of the PCs outdoors now, none of them can see what happens in the back of the tavern.

    Man with bucket hits Ripper for 2 damage.
    Man attacks Roger and misses. Other man grabs boy and runs away. Boy runs away agreeably.

    Sanamin, Thargril, and Malik act normally
    Then Erizat act normally
    and Ripper act normally, Stomper attack nearest, Roger attack nearest. (Not each other)

    Steeling herself against the pain of burnt flesh, Erizat gestures towards the most distant demon, uttering a word of ancient magic as she draws forth the moisture from the air that surrounds the creature. The drops of water that condense on the demon's skin are immediately turned to ice as Erizat attempts to freeze the creature in place.

    Move action: If Erizat isn't already within 30 feet of the demon that breathed fire, she will, if possible, move to be within 30 feet.

    Standard action: Expend 2 spell points to use the Create Water Talent in combination with Freeze, targeting the demon that breathed fire. The demon must succeed at a DC 15 Reflex or be encased in ice 1 inch thick (if Erizat is within 30 feet of the demon, Pugwampi's Aura and Overwhelming Power impose a -2 penalty to this save). While frozen, the demon can only take mental or verbal actions or attempt to escape. Escaping requires a full-round action and either a DC 16 Strength or Escape Artist check. The ice can be broken by attacks and has 3 HP. The ice blocks line of effect but not line of sight. The ice will begin to melt once 1 minute has passed, and the demon suffers 1 point of cold damage each turn that it remains frozen.

    Ripper counterattacks the man with the bucket. Not with full strength because even its animal's brains notice something goes wrong, but he does not feel like just standing there being beaten with a bucket. Roger and Stomper both attack the man attacking them.

    Across the street, the demon freezes in place as the water turns to ice around him.
    At ground level, the swarm envelops Erizat with countless tiny bites. (Four damage)
    On the tavern roof, the demon, unsure of how to extricate Thargril from Sanamin turns his fury on Malik. He slashes left and Malik ducks to the right, directly into the path of the second pincer and the stinger. He takes five + eight damage and fails his Fort save. (The demon was not tripped or flanked.)

    With her lifeblood pouring from countless tiny wounds, Erizat's mind is no longer able to resist the demons' maddening buzz. Her eyes suddenly lose their focus, and as she straightens herself haltingly from her fighting stance, she raises her partisan and drives it downward into her own leg before collapsing in the street.

    Malik darts out of the demon's reach, circles around to its exposed flank, then conjures forth his shadow limb to once again attempt to unbalance the vile creature.

    Move action: Use the Disengage link component to move half his speed without provoking for leaving his starting square. He'll use his first 5 ft. of movement to move backwards, out of reach, then with remaining 10 ft., move back into melee range, hopefully in a position that flanks.

    Standard Action: Trip attempt using his Shadow Limb: (d20+9)[27]. Add an additional +2 if flanking applies.

    If the trip attempt is successful, the demon provokes an attack of opportunity from Malik due to Snap Kick.
    Attack: (d20+12)[21]. This includes the +4 bonus for attacking a prone enemy. Add an additional +2 if flanking applies.

    Malik should disengage and heal Erizat as soon as possible. Can he start that healing thing he did before again?

    The tripped demon will provoke from Malik, S&T when he stands back up. Do you all want to roll your AOO's?
