Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Fairly sure the Blackstar was invented after the FFG game.
Drop Pod - Elyas, Baldr
Stormraven - Ragnir
Teleport - Korbin, maybe?
I don't think Zeruel and Kheres have expressed a preference yet. I'm going to vote drop pod IC to move things along.

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Korbin is not for teleport unless we think we have the time (although I did check for stealth routes if needed for entry or escape). But I am going to take a Teleport Beacon for fast extraction of the astropath if that option arises. I am good with Drop pods.
Equipment
(3) Astartes Combat Webbing: Medicae pouch
(17) Bulkhead Shears
(10) Teleportation Homer
The other 10 points are open.

Baldr will make it up to Ragnir at some point. Obviously the appropriate thing would have been for the two of them to duel for the right to lead

"Rune Priest, Shaman of my Chapter, I'm sorry I eschewed your insight and words on a tactical approach, and sided with one of the Sons of the Lion over you, in front of everyone. You know, that chapter that ours has a rivalry with that you know about because you're a verbal lore-keeper of our people?"
That's a pretty big "make up"haha.
Mind you, OOC I have a dark and sarcastic sense of humour, so I find this unwitting slight rather funny. Baldir will have to work very hard to cleanse himself of this sin lol.

I think the Master of the Forge at Erioch is an Iron Priest, so maybe he has a still somewhere
Otherwise Baldr has an independent streak that has very likely got him into trouble before.

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Btw, @DrK, I forgot to buy Ragnir his Psy-Focus for 15 req, mostly because I didn't see it at the end of the Wargear chapter. Is it alright if I mark it down on his sheet?

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Aye, no worries
@ ALL
Are you aiming at the crashed ship or one of the 3 chaos encamptments?
How close do you want to land to the vessel? Also its a 4km long vessel do you want to land near the bow or the stern? Or try a bold landing actually on top of the superstructure?
Could one person please make a suitable drive/pilot check for the drop down and evasion of any defensive fire
Someone else can work the auspex to scrutinise the landing siteThanks to Emperor Ing for the nice Avatar

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Would steering the pod be pilot personal, or something else?
Also as for our target I'm partial to landing nearer to the ship than any of the encampments, give us a bit of a head start on any of them. I suppose near the bow if I had to pick one.

None of us are very good at piloting. Autopilot would be best.

Yeah, datacore first unless we have any reason to know where the Navis is being held. The wreck might give us some cover if anyone comes to investigate the drop pod.

Initiative Roll (1d10+6)[12]
I guess I'll activate Squad Mode while I can. 180 meters is out of our range, I believe, so we'll have a few rounds to ready stuff.

You don't need initiative for this one

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Don't we still need to determine the turn order for the squad members?
Also, I've looked up entering Squad Mode and it is a full round action or a Cohesion test, just in case anyone needed to know. Exiting is free.Last edited by UselessBlob; 2020-12-04 at 02:49 PM.

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
A bolter pistol only has a range of 30. I don't think it's possible to hit from 180 meters away.

Re: Deathwatch - Acheros Salient OOC
Extreme range for a bolt pistol would be a 120 metres, probably with a long range penalty. I suppose there's always the jump pack.

We have a devastator with a heavy bolter don't we? That'll chew up the cultists, forcing them to draw closer to our position.
