They were probably looking for additional damage after the earthquake, but yes good instincts to film everything for the record.

Yeah, the drone was inspecting the remaining cables on the side where cables had broken when strands on the next cable started to go. Pretty amazing footage, really.

True that. To be honest the moment when paint just outright burst in all directions show how big forces were at work. On a less serious note, it did remind me of Fist of The North Star and all those poor shirts lost for the rule of cool.
In a war it doesn't matter who's right, only who's left.

A neutron walks into a bar and says, “How much for a beer?” The bartender says, “For you? No charge.”

Later: An atom walks into a bar an asks the bartender “Have you seen an electron? I left it in here last night.” The bartender says, “Are you sure?” The atom says, “I’m positive.”

It was a really cool radio telescope. Clouds and other obstacles did not bother him. But I heard that it was deliberately not repaired. Since it fulfilled its functions as a geopolitical object at the time it was installed (these are rumors, I am not claiming). But I think that often we get "artifacts" from politicians and the military.
Politicians are not interested in pure science. Therefore, they did not allocate funds for repairs. Or maybe I'm wrong. In any case, Arecibo has served humanity a lot
