    Hey.
Look at my spoiler above and make sure to read the rules of the forum.

Also, try doing the die roller that is formated. Remember, you can't go back and modify it once you click save and you can't preview the roll.

    Replace X with 10.
If you put a X it doesnít read it. Notice how I changed X for 5 in my example. Also, you canít preview. And if you donít wait the minute between posts it will error out.

Also, if you make the forum a favorite, I'd do it on the settings tab (top right of the screen) that way you can see new responses to posts if you set up your preferences correctly.

Ok, a few things to keep in mind.

    Attacks of Opportunity
There is a list of things that provoke attacks of opportunity (or AoO), and some exceptions due to class abilities, feats, etc.
The 4 most common ones are -
    1) Making a ranged (missile or thrown) while in a threatened square.
    2) Casting a spell (can be mitigated by a concentration skill check) while in a threatened square.
    3) Moving through a threatened square. Pg 137 of the Players Handbook gives examples of what they are and how they provoke. Can be mitigated with a Tumble skill check.
    4) Something I'm forgetting at the moment.

    Actions in Combat
There are several action types - Free, Immediate, Swift, Move, Standard, Full-Attack, and Full Round.
Additionally, you can take a 5ft step as a free action if you didn't take any other movement.
    Examples -
Free ~ Talking a sentence or two. Taking a 5ft step. Dropping something held.
Swift ~ Certain spells/powers, some magic items, a Quickened spell.
Immediate ~ As swift, usually a reactionary power, spell, or magic item that saves your bacon. It consumes your swift action for the round, or, if you already took your swift action for the round, it takes your swift action for the next round.
Move ~ Moving some distance up to your movement. Pulling out a weapon. Stand up from prone.
Standard action ~ Make an attack. Cast a spell. Use a magic item (scroll, potion, wand, staff, etc).
Full-attack ~ When you get multiple attacks a round, you would use a full-attack action and this would consume your Standard and Move actions.
Full Round ~ Some spells, special attacks (charging, special class, or racial attacks). This consumes your Standard and Move actions.

    Our intrepid heroes -

For reasons unknown, the three of you are in a cave.
3rd son in the front, the second son in the middle, and the first son in the back.
The passages to the south-west and north-east have both recently collapsed, due to unstable plot elements, and your only path forward is to the west.

As you slowly force your way through the surrounding rubble, a light can be seen that leads you into an area that grows brighter and brighter. Eventually, you reach the source of his light Ė a still-burning torch, which lies at the feet of a dead, dwarflike creature, which is partially covered with rubble. This creature, which has a thick, black tangled beard and wears studded leather armor, apparently died in a horrible manner just prior to the cave-in, judging from the many bloody wounds that crisscross its chest and face. It still holds a bloodstained axe in its cold, dead hands. Approximately 20 feet away from this dead creature is the corpse of yet another strange dwarf. Like its companion, it apparently died in battle before the cave-in. This second dwarf still clutches a bloody dagger. The cavern itself is massive. Roughly circular in shape, it measures approximately 90 feet in diameter, with a 20-foot-wide column of stone rising from floor to ceiling in its center. You see two tunnels leading out of this area Ė one to the north, and two to the west.

    Spoiler
    Show

Jag-Ger doesn't find any traps but notices the body. He checks the torch and realizes that it gives off no heat.
Lo Rax checks the bodies and finds a total of 12 gold coins, a tattered piece of parchment along with each carrying a dagger and handaxe.

Spar Key manages to pick his nose, searching out evil boogers.

    Spoiler: Parchment

Spar Key resists Jag'gers attempts at touching him, so he goes on by himself to the far side of the pillar, but also is unable to locate.

Spar Key searches the dead body and finds pocket lint and a small rock that he realizes is slightly magnetic.
