Not sure, exploring sounds fun. Worse case scenario we get hurt and need another long rest, so that might screw up the minotaur thing. If it's just a short rest it paobably won't matter as much, though.

That would otherwise seem like not enough but you'll find out that somebody has beaten a metal spike to the bottom of the shaft and tied a rope into it that covers the last bit of the way down. So no trouble there. There's no hook to tie the rope to in the upper part though.
How do you plan to get the rope to stay in place?

I also have a hammer and a set of 10 pitons. I will fix one piton to the ground near the hole (or more, if we need it to be sturdier) and attach the rope to it.

Can somebody cast a ranged spell so we can save a portion of the rope? I'm sure we'll lose at least 5 feet forever if we try to shoot the top from the bottom.

One would usually have to see the knot to be able to cast most spells on it and the range is a bit distant for most spells too. You might even want to have the rope here if you aim to come back this way at some point.

Actually, that's a really good point.

I'd just leave the rope there then hopefully try to retrieve it later. And if we can't, well, rope costs much less than the 500 gp we just spent on questions. Just won't climb down holes again in this specific dungeon.

So I'm thinking, if we are gonna stay a month in this dungeon, are rations going to be a problem? Because I just brought 6 to the dungeon to save some investory space. I could maybe retcon that since I had forgotten the trip was one month, but carrying 30 of them seems silly.

Or do we just ignore rations in this game? I don't mind if that's the case.

Nodgate can cast create food. She's 5th level. That's how she managed to hang out in the cloud for years and years and years. So it's not going to be an issue while she's alive.

I'm not sure which order do you want to cast things? Did you want to cast the magnify gravity at the wights this turn or did you change your mind to web?

Three more corpses rise up and draw bows which they use to rapidly loose arrows at Theria and Oren. Their speed suggests they're more advanced creatures, possibly similar to the wight you fought earlier...
One arrow hits Theria, doing 5 damage. Another arrow strikes Rik doing 8 piercing damage.

Did the skeleton just aim at Oren and hit Rik?

I thought I was casting magnify gravity on 20 corpses rising from the other room. It looks like I was too late for that so let's use Magnify gravity on the wights in round one. Then web on them in round 2 since I think it is my turn. If that doesn't work, let me know.

Not sure if Polari's plan works for me, if those wraiths are immune to physical damage I can only hit them with my spear.

(also I spent a good two minutes trying to get the difference between wights and wraiths)

Well I can always use patient defense and switch the fist for a dodge instead. But yeah probably not killing those wraiths fast unless they are super squishy.

I'm just trying to split them up to cut down on their offense. Everyone stay out of the doorway and you should avoid the wights' ranged attacks while we focus on the wraiths.

You might want to attack with your spear and then BA dodge for a couple rounds.

Edit: Wraiths are not squishy at all.
