Picked up this game a while back because it looked interesting and different, played it a couple times, mostly enjoy it. But we've got questions. If there is a better place to ask these questions than reddit, please let me know!

Why would anyone choose to "leave the Familiar" as an additional action? This is my biggest question. If I'm reading the rules right, there is no benefit to leaving the Familiar. Picking up the Familiar doesn't seem to restrict movement. Hiding is not allowed at any time after the Familiar has been picked up for the first time, even if the Familiar has been dropped. So why would you ever drop them?

If the noise token is already on the board, then another player throws a rock, does the noise token move to the new location?

During combat, when the Hunted retreats, do they have to retreat in the opposite direction of the Vampire? Or can they "retreat" in any direction?
