Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
Wood Elves. My old nemesis.
My original plan was to try to muscle them out but I don't like the look of that Treeman - and there's no point turning Ivarr into a specialist interceptor since they don't have a thrower. Helmut Wulf is another tempting option as he's had some success against treemen in the past, but that spare 90K isn't all that useful and he can be a liability.
So onto Plan D:
Gunnar takes Guard (3 SPP)
Manfred Man takes Strip Ball (2 GPP)
Inducements: Wizard (150K). Godwin Badlos takes +1 STR and Tackle.
Bloodweiser Babe (25K): Manfred Man gets +1 AV
Bloodweiser Babe (25K): Cnut gets +1 AV

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
The Killaz are at 1380 but the Iron Lad initial roster post hasn't been updated since the last game. Udor was saved by the Apo (I need to update the injury list) plus a level up so the dwarf TV should be a little higher than the 1070 listed? 1070+ a normal skill --> 1090 (+anything else?)... keeping the inducement under 300.

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
The 1070 TV for the Iron Lads is the current TV that I have for that team. I will double check that, but I'm pretty confident that is their current TV. I do know for the Killaz, the TV is actually a little higher. Tripper has leveled up, and taken the skill Guard, so his value is actually at 80k instead of 50k. That puts the Killaz TV at 1410 for me.

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
It was shocking! Looking at this season's schedule though, the Ogres have been more lucky than good...
-Faced the Landwasters a week after they lost three players to DEATH.
-Faced the Skaven a few weeks into the season after we have developed a bit (they are an abandoned team)
-Faced Halhokki Tapio a week after they had lost SEVERAL players to injury (and they were already down a player due to DEATH)
-Facing H.E.L.L. this week at the end of the season after we have developed (they are an abandoned team)
I'm pretty confident that at even if those teams were at relatively full strength, we would lose each match, but 4 out of 6 weeks have been against disadvantaged teams. That, coupled with how surprisingly sturdy the Snotlings have been, has led to a much better season than I was expecting!Last edited by PolloMark; 2021-01-22 at 01:10 AM.

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
I have been tempted by Wrestle for my blitzers (Jump Up making the critical difference), but since they already have Block it feels like a waste: I tend to think while there is an advantage in having the option of doing either, it's probably not worth the TV increase overall, relative to other available skills.

That 40K goes straight out again, with another 10K from the treasury, as new lineman Einarr joins in place of Kjetill.
I've been reluctant to pull the trigger on this one but with only one match left there's no point in half measures. Both blitzers will take Piling On.

Spoiler: Team History
The Landwasters are the fourth team to play regularly at the Bad Badenhof Recreational Ground (the "Bad Wreck"). Representing Norse exiles who had found themselves resident in the Empire, Manfred Man began putting together a Blood Bowl team of his comrades. Skeggjold, formerly of Die Valkyrie, provided publicity and used her contacts to secure an interview with the veteran team owner Aedilred, who agreed to accommodate and train the team. Funding was subsequently supplied by retired superstar Morr E.N. Tezz, in need of an investment vehicle for the lucre assembled over his career and subsequent endeavours in modelling, publishing, product endorsement etc.
When the Exhibition Tournament stalled, the Landwasters went on the road, but have now returned to the Wreck to play out the new season.Last edited by Aedilred; 2021-01-23 at 04:43 PM.

ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! The legendary Snotling delivers for the Green Wave in a big way! Swill is on me this week!

Apothecary for Blotty Morel: (1d68)[29] -Dr Tear-off-your-arm is quite the miracle worker, raising Blotty from the dead. He is good to go for next game!
Level up ZEET: (2d6)[4][1](5) - Zeet has joined Karak Bone-Chewer at those dance practices, and Zeet has now permanently gained the skill Sure Feet.
Facing the sturdy Dwarves this week in the season finale. Those thick-skulled players may give us some trouble, so I must return to my lair to develop a gameplan for the upcoming week!
Roster Updates
I have been studying gameplans extensively, and as a result, I have purchased a Re-roll (140k). While looking over the gameplans, it's clear that we are on the cusp of being short-handed. If this past week showed us anything, it's that the Snotlings can't be relied on too much. As a result, we are signing a new Snotling player... Hammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (20k)
Finally, Shosho Shoshoshosho has been helping with scouting since his injury, and he is the one that brought Hammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm to the team. As a result, it felt only right to promote Shosho to Assistant Coach, costing the team our final 10k.
GAMEPLAN:
Karak will take Break Tackle (2GPP)
Durd will take Block (3GPP)Last edited by PolloMark; 2021-01-26 at 02:05 AM.

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
I wish we followed you every week. First you softened up Holhokki Tapio, now the Lads. You are the true MVP of the Green Wave.
Check your mail in 3-5 business days for your supply of Snotlings.
Also, since you put up your predictions, I'll throw out some predictions of my own for the last week!
Landerned Landwasters v Rabid Weasels- The Landwasters are looking much better since they've been able to sign some new players. The Weasels may not have a manager, but that offense still can put points on the board with ease. I predict Erik Longarm and Ivarr will lead the scoring efforts here, and I think the defense does just enough to get them out ahead in this one. Prediction Landwasters win 2-1.
Iron Lads v Green Wave- The Iron Lads have had some unfortunate luck this season. Losing Vagrin is a devastating loss, and Krabar is just salt on the wound. Green Wave has healthier players, and I predict that will lead to a victory as a result. I do think the Lads get a score, but I think the Ogres pull off another win. Prediction Green Wave win 2-1.
Watchtower Wiccans v Holhokki Tapio- The Wiccans seems to have two Faba Hellblades instead of one now. I think that alone makes a tough team tougher. Holhokki Tapio has some serious speed, but they also don't have much to play for. I predict the Wiccans can match that speed and outlast Holhokki Tapio to pull off a win. Prediction Wiccans win 2-1.
H.E.L.L. v Red Brick Killaz- The Killaz get what I think is an easy match to end the season. They should have no problem running over H.E.L.L., and I predict that the discrepancy in TV will play the key role. Prediction Killaz win 2-0.Last edited by PolloMark; 2021-01-24 at 02:06 AM.

TV 1460
Spoiler: Week 7 Preview"WAAAAAAGHH!!!"
That was the sound that echoed across the sky as Slammer single handedly slammed the dwarven deathroller. As the officials tried to figure out how to move the illegal contraption the orc war cry grew and grew. The snack shed collapsed under the sonic pummeling killing the snotlingsmanningsnotling it (maybe the dwarves can do something useful and rebuild it before next weeks games? The league needs profits!) It was only discovered later that the orc crowd-adrenaline spontaneously instigated two small orc waaghs that each flattened a nearby town and made it back in time for the end of the match.
Who knows what supplies will be short supply from the loss of those towns? Perhaps the snack booth (if rebuilt in time) will have to serve up snotlings as snacks themselves. Surely that will give a boost in sales from the orc fans! Supply queries have been made to the ogre team for the source of their snotlings.
For the second half of the game against the dwarves, the Killaz on the field knew their game plans. Big Red was a warlord and always thought big picture. He initiated his own strategic plans. He had his staff, particularly mascots Runnin Wild and Snoop Dog, move among the fans of all sorts and start spreading information. His goal, to make sure the fans knew who to vote for MVP next week. He wants to hear them screaming Big Red and Killaz!
Speed Launcha - Offensive league MVP
- Everyone knows when he scores the team ALWAYS wins
- Lead the team to conquer their division
- 1st place for scores per yard run, more successful runs than any other!
- Tied for 1st in scores made with far fewer drops than those he's tied with.
- Top 3 for star points earned
- Top 5 for yards run
- Better catcher than any dark elf
- Doesn't funble pickups like the other scoring leaders
Da Wall - Defensive league MVP
- Among the best in causing causualties
- A black orc tied for first for interceptions, better than any elf!
- A massive brute even by black orc standards, without the downsides of players on other teams with similar strength
Slammer - Defensive league MVP
- Among the best in causing causualties
- One of the best players making KOs. Gog may have more KOs but he still hasn't spilt real blood!
- Singlehanded took out the league's biggest toughest player, the dwarven death-roller! What better reason?
Other points spread among the multitudes...
- The Wiccans had an impressive start, but are fading away. Couldn't even hurt or beat rats!
- The Green Wave know how to hit hard, but the Killaz know how to score too!
- Do you want to be around when a non-orc wins MVP? Think of your loved ones, vote orcs!
- The Killaz under Big Red are the most famous around. (Fan Factor 8)Spoiler: GamesKeston Tornok for GF's AoW

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
As expected, the uniformity of the Norse block skill was painful...to the tune of three major injuries. Once again we hit back, to a lesser extend, and in the end managed to hold on to victory. The next match will be meaningless in the standings...but not for Elven bragging rights. Dark Elves live to inflict pain, sometimes to the point of preferring it over actually winning a battle. Going into the playoffs
Let's see where things sit after Week Six!
Post Match Sequence!
Apothecary
Is this another napping Wood Elf, or is he really dead? Our mercenary herbalist takes a good hard look at Darktrunk...
(1d68)[18](18)
3 Wood Elves thought dead, 3 found to be perfectly healthy. What is wrong with the in-game trainers?
Winnings + 30,000 (Preview, Fame, Win)
(1d6+3)[6]
Another middle of the road roll. What to do, what to do...
Fan Factor
(3d6)[3][6][3](12)
Fan Factor climbs to 6. Fans love the blood...but TDs are a close second.
Level up
Sharpbriar rolls (2d6)[1][4](5) and learns Sidestep, surprising no one who read last week's missives.

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
As we saw last week (or two?) rolling 1d68 isn't quite right since it can result in single digit results. I think it would be better to roll 1d58+10 or best to just do 1d6 and 1d8 separately.
Neither H.E.L.L. nor Killaz have had a serious injury since week 2. Will that continue in their match-up this week or will the dams of blood be opened up?Spoiler: GamesKeston Tornok for GF's AoW

Re: GiTP Blood Bowl Weekly Team Management Thread
But that would require me having understood that was what it was all about instead of doing my normal 1d6 1d8. And doing the normal would have made it look like I didn't understand everyone's comments about 1d68.
And all of it should have been done with Tallgrove and simply let Darktrunk die. Why? Because Tallgrove could potentially earn enough SPP for a skillup whereas Darktrunk would need an MVP or surprising combination of TD and Casualty.
