That's a good plan, but doesn't it look a little odd? I once forgot to cut the ring finger on both my hands and in the end it was about twice the length of all my other nails.

A friend of mine gets shivers whenever someone clicks two long fingernails together, it makes his teeth hurt. Also his teeth hurting makes his teeth hurt. As does cold, ice cream, blackboard scraping and teeth gnashing.

@Curly: I'm not evil *sobs*. It's the radio's fault for playing a clip of Chico!

Shhhhh! I meant that thinking about pain in conjunction with teeth causes him pain. Leave me be!

Also, an all boys school isn't so bad, I went there mainly because there aren't many any good, unisex schools that I got into for secondary school.

Same here. Though it's more thinking about chomping on certain things that does it for me.

The nail thing doesn't really look weird (at least I hope!).. the longish ones are only about 1-2mm's or so in length with the rest being about half that. The extra millimeter makes a surprising difference but it's not all that noticeable.

@Calamity. Sympathy for the rotten day.

I've never had toothache, nor required any dental work, so can't really get the teeth thing. Although I do cringe and wince (sometimes shuddering too) at the thought of fingers/toes being injured. Probably after losing the tip of one of mine.

Fingernails on blackboards is a nice sound. How can anyone dislike the drawn out screech....

I've lost count of the number of laptops I've lost to elephants.

They get violently territorial when they find you using their unsecured WiFi hotspots. Hyenas are much more relaxed about that sort of thing.

Meh. I don't understand the being annoyed. I always thought being in step that way could look pretty interesting (especially if there are only two people. It can look kind of imposing, actually).

Ah, but the problem with that is I use my right hand for strumming/picking.

Sounds a lot like my homework timetable, though I'm trying to change that this year since I've decided I want to do Medicine in uni - the entry requirements are pretty insane.

Fret hand shorter, plucking hand longer, but too long and they break easy. Once had to glue a painfully split nail back together before preforming a Bach piece in front of 500 people. One of my old teachers gave me the advice that you should just be able to feel the nail of your picking hand if you run the fingertip across your skin.

On a complete tangent. I have just eaten a whole Mint flavour chocolate orange (the brand is chocolate orange, its not mint and orange combined) Should I feel proud? I did share a bit.

    Ouch.

I don't play classical guitar yet (though I'm hoping to get a teacher sometime this year) so I normally just use the fleshy part of my fingers for that softer sound.

Was that a Terry's chocolate orange by any chance?

I've got a question. Regarding quote identification. I seem to recall a quote from somewhere that went something like "We can take 'em- with science." The thing is, a friend of mine also knows this quote, and we both remember it being from Army of Darkness. Yet upon watching the movie more recently, we didn't notice the line.

It seems odd that we're both confused about this. Are we both crazy, or does this quote actually exist somewhere?

A google search shows that it was from Army of Darkness, the full quote being "We can take these deadites, we can take 'em... with science". You can even download an audio clip of it.

Well, it may be quite painful in the first time you wax, but that's because the hair roots are quite strong. They'll be far weaker from there on and will come out more easily.

You should try it sometime, Phoe.
I should try sometime as well. Currently I only shave any hair I have, though it's generally quite light. The darker hair on the wrist and the feet is worst. Blech.

    Guys, I need help.
Know when you have a song stuck in your head like crazy? Of course you do. I know how to deal with that. I just supersaturate it into my daily routine and it goes away. However, I have 2 songs right now, at the same time. And not only does it sound bad, that means everytime I try to remove one song via the saturation method, the other one climbs to fever pitch, and it's absolutely impossible!
I need like, some combination of advice and alcohol.

I know that from personal experience when trying to sleep.

One song stuck in your head: Annoying.

Two songs stuck in your head: Very annoying.

Three or more songs stuck in your head: Nearly going mad.

Plus a trilling sound going through your head whenever you try to get rid of the rest: Forget your sleep and start to write.

It's the only thing that helps for me. As well as blacking out and falling down half dead from sleep deprivation after some hours.

Alcohol doesn't work fast enough IMHO.
