    Lan had dealt with one of the harpies, but two more continued to harry the wily halfling. He activated his boots and flew to the left at an angle, keeping both harpies w/in 30', but moving swiftly himself. At the apex of his soaring, he used his momentum to fling several more javelins at his enemies. Once those force shafts impacted his foes, he rolled back again as his opponents closed in on him, striking at him with spears instead of bows. shifted to the side, With the battle fully engaged, Lan was now up against three proficient archers. The question was if he should continue to dance with them, or veil himself and play tricks. Of course, if he did that, he might leave the harpies free to harass his companions. Gritting his teeth against the pain, Lan cast a spell quickly, increasing his speed and then shifted his position aerially to the side before launching five javelins, targeting the hurt harpy first, then moving on to the next closest one.



    Round 3: With haste still going, activating his horion walker and moving at least 20' while keeping harpies 2 and 3 w/in 30'. Full round attack (point blank shot, rapid shot, improved skirmish, haste) vs harpies (hurt one first, uninjured one second, girallions third).

    Zarina

    Zarina lets out a shout of fear as the massive hammer swings towards her, one that turns into relief as the titan collapses on the rocky ground. Seeing her chance she whispers a prayer to the Lightning Lord and drops down towards the monster spiralling to avoid its hammer that swings up to greet her, ending hovering its chest some 15ft off the ground. Invoking the power of the wand attached to her blade the length of silvery metal becomes insubstantial as it swings through the beast's massive plates of armour with all the divine fury she can manage. As it contacts she releases the powerful and bizarre alchemicals recovered from Ilthane's lair as icy electrifed acid splashes of Krathanos who roars with rage. His roars though are drowned out as the ancient Aqaan sword crackles with power and a deafening boom sounds accompanied by a great blast of wind that sends a plume of dust and rocks scattering all around.

    "Be careful!" I call to my friends as I prepare to start my own magical assault on the titan from outside his reach. With a prayer to Mystara I call down a rain of embers on the titan, even though it leaves me weakened.

    The elemental glides effortlessly beneath the impeding stones to hammer on the titan again this time flanking with Zarina and Elkist.

    Inside the Keep

    The girallion goes berserk! Donal runs forward sword cjopping at the massive enraged gorilla, hewing into its leg even as unseen nearby a voice calls out Hold right there however the giant monkey appears not to notice. The harpies flanking Lan grin and cackle cruelly as the withdraw their spears that drip red but their cackling soon ends. The first savage flurry see's a trio of javelins tear into the injred one before more javelins come flying fast from the small ranger 4 more streaking into the last harpy that plummets to the ground with a wet splat. The last javelin plunges down into the maddened Girallion that turns upwards howling and beating its chest at Lan!

    The girallion goes mad thumping and tearing at Donal with its upper arms before picking up a pair of massive boulders as large as a horse and hurling them upwards at Lan with savage force as she feels like he is assailed by a siege weapon!

    The second Girallion emerges from the gate of the keep beating its chest mightily as its see Krathanos, an elemental and three woman fighting. Fiery flowers rains from the sky and crackling lightning erupts and the girallion after one last beating of its chest moves 80 ft to the left seeming to start skirting the battle

    If the keep is to your north it moves 80ft east to go around the battle. Its scared of the elemental chaos

    Outside the Keep

    As Krathanos falls two of the woman strike! Elkist steps forward with her longspear glowing with holy power and lunges outwards towards the prone Titan struggling to regain his footing. Her first blow strikes true plunging deep into Krathnos's side, but the maddened godling bats her away for the follow up strikes. The elemental hammers down upon him, armour cracking under the force of the blow before with a furious blast of wind Zarina lands atop his chest driving her sword deep into hi. Even as that happens the sky turns red with fiery embers falling around them - yet not burning the women or the elemental but the Titan laughs off the rain. his skin glowing with dark power. "I have you now" he growls as with surprising alacrity he rolls to his feet faster than any could have thought (belt gleaming) hammer in hand. Zarina and Elkist can clearly see the murderous intent in his eyes as he starts swinging the hammer with murderous power!

    This was increasingly frustrating...


    Makavoy moved towards the keep entrance, keeping his distance from the girallon and looking for a good angle to blind him and deter him. He focused on his sandshaping abilities, summoning the desert sand and the storms of the sea of dust and unleash it on the girallon without hindering the flying javelin thrower and the enraged warrior below.

    Standard: use a 5th level slot to cast a Shaped Haboob using 4 10' cubes of Haboob sand to appear on and around the girallon. basically a 40`x 10' box covering the girallon but above the level of Donal, so he can attack the huge creature but the creature can not see it unless crouching down. you need visual representation let me know.


    Haboob (5d4)[13] DC 20 vs Reflex for half damage creatures inside the 40' X 10' have no sight.

    Nothing for it now but to keep swinging! Donal charges the blade of his bastard sword with electric power again and swings at the enraged monkey in front of him. Blood stains his clothing as old wounds are reopened and new ones formed from the girallions savage blows.

    Lan smiled grimly as the two harpies fell before the onslaught of his javelins. The remaining one he had he threw into the back of one of the girallions. However, he grunted in surprise when the creature swiftly picked up two nearby rocks and flung them at the hovering halfling. One missed, but the other hit him squarely in the chest, driving the air from his lungs with a whoosh. Hurting, he immediately started evaluating his exit options. At his core, he was a survivor, and survivors didn't waste time with heroics, or final charges into the heart of the enemy. Instead, he considered healing his wounds, then increasing altitude to stretch the distance between him and the massive creature. Alternatively, he could cast invisibility upon himself to mask his presence, then heal from the shadows at his leisure. And there was always the ultimate exit strategy - bolting for the open sky, these others be damned. As always, his options were smart. Prudent. Safe.

    That being said, he immediately threw out the last option. Of course he wasn't going to leave his friends! Nay ... he might leave these two ex-prisoners behind, because he owed them nothing, but he certainly wouldn't abandon his companions. The first thought made sense, but it would delay re-engaging with the beast. And even as he tried to withdraw, the creature might still be able to reach him with one of those small boulders. The third option was an even safer option than the previous. By veiling himself, he could heal and position himself for a surprising reveal ... but the entire effort would cost them time, seconds or minutes that his companions might not have to spare.

    A roar from the other room echoed in the keep, with the sounds of thunder and booming explosions. Frowning, his gaze darted from the direction of the other battle, then back to the barbarian fighting the four-armed beast alone as the other figure moved around inside the cage, doing something with his hands. The other girallion had already headed towards Mirr, Elkist and Zarina. When his sharp ears picked out the shouts and calls from the woman, his jaws hardened. Whatever happened next, this was one time he wouldn't run.

    Time would tell if he survived ...


    Round 5: Presuming this girallion is hurt badly, Lan will move and attack, activating his horizon walker again (swift action to move at least 20' while keeping the G w/in 30'. Full round attack (point blank shot, rapid shot, improved skirmish, haste).

    I'm annoyed at myself for having wasted my most best spell against potent defences, bit the titan has granted me a moment without having to defend, and I use it to search for the cracks in his guard.     Zarina shudders as the hammer swings partially through her and the shimmering starmantle cloak but still leaves her ribs cracked by the impact.     As it swings, wisps of spiritual energy swirl around her and her form suddenly collapses into the ground in a pillar of stardust.

    In the Keep

    The massive 4 armed primal girallion roars and beats it chest as Donal slices and hacks at its legs doing massive damage to its thighs. Even as it reaches out to grasp him a spinning column of sandy air surrounds it blinding it temporarily. the distraction is just enough as a plethora of javelins fly from Lan's hand and impale the beast in the back of the neck, one finding a weak spot and punching through the skull into the brain. With a slow grinding the 30ft tall primate collapses by Donal in a great plume of dust and earth!

    Oustide the Keep

    The elemental and the two woman attack the Titan. Spears, swords and earthen fists pounding against the armoured hulk. Even as the elemental assails the creature a spinning hammer of pure force whistles past hurled by Mirriana. The hammer hitting with a massive concussive "bang". As it does so Zarina spins the Sword of Aqaa, the blade igniting before it slashes and slices through the thick black steel plate leaving two deep gashes on the creatures chest.

    Krathanos roars with pain, reaching out a hand to crush Zarina's will but she holds onto her faith, black spots appearing around her eyes under the pressure before it relents. In rage the beast lays about with the hammer, great sweeps seeking to smash the woman to pulp even as it ignores the summoned mass of earth. Elkist vanishes from sight, becoming a ghostly shadow and plunging into the earth before it focuses on Zarina, the first blow smashing into her blade as the rest seek to smash the woman magus. The massive adamantine hammer smashes the sword of aqaa into a dozen pieces with crackle of lightning as it sets about the now unarmed Zarina beating her senseless, only the magic of the swirling stars keeping her from being turned into a bloodied paste.

    we need to act with haste, I just lost a full party against that brute. I we don’t fight together, we have no chances.

    He casts a spell that makes Donal, Lan, and himself faster and swifter. And then heads, invisible, to the edge of the keep door. He won’t take chances this time, he needs to outsmart the titan.

    As the massive primate collapses before him some of his own fighting spark dies out as well. The temporary vitality from his anger evaporates and he's left leaning on his sword, struggling to get a full breath. Coughing blood he waves a hand in thanks for the martial and magical assist and speed hobbles over to the pile of gear. Fighting a giant gorilla with just a sword is one thing. Fighting that would be suicide!

    Bleeding freely from his wounds he picks up his shield, embossed with an upright flaming sword, the holy symbol of Tempus. He straps it to his arm and stabs his sword at the sky. "Heal my wounds, I'm not done fighting!" He says, yelling at the sky. No answer comes but the bleeding starts to slow and bruises begin to fade.

    Lan grunted in success as the girallion fell. He scanned for any visible threats. From below, he heard someone call for speed, with the ensuing thrill of a hastening spell. Glancing down, he saw a figure moving about as the rager ran to collect his gear. Lan called to the ex-prisoners, ”Gear up and hurry. We need all the help we can get!”

    Concentrating, Lan tapped into his connection with the wilds and ancient powers of the Traveler. Then he began casting a spell, one that slowly changed the small halfling warrior into something enormous by comparison. Flying into the room, he saw the three women standing firm against the beast ... except Zarina, who looked ragged and carried the hilt of a broken blade. Eyes narrowing in fury, Lan hit the ground thirty paces away with thud that shook the ground. He roared in challenge, hoping to distract the Titan from his targets, or at least requiring the god-like being to consider the threat.

    If he survived, he should probably let Zarina know how he felt.


    Round 6: Cast aspect of the earth hunter (standard). Fly to w/in 30' of the Titan (90' of movement available) and land (move).

    Zarina shuddered under the impacts of the blows even as much of the force was absorbed in the aether hanging from the cloak and the sword exploded in her hands into shards of magical metal. Spitting blood she looked weakly about, a grin slightly as she saw the bulette rampaging forward knowing it was Lan seeking to save her. Thoughts became easier as she felt Mirriana land behind her and then warmth flooded through her as the heal from the rof of seven parts kicked in and Mirriana's command rocked in her mind.

    Channelling her power her entire form seemed to lengthen and grow slightly, muscles bunched like chords and her features growing more feline before she ripped her father's sword free from her back. The blade seeming to pulse in her hand like an old friend as she flexed her fist, blood pooling around her grip as she focused her own blood on the attack

    Oustide the Keep

    The battle with the Titan grows savage. The creature lashes out but Elkist forms into mist dropping into the earth as the hammer leaves a massive crater. then Zarina takes the brunt of the attacks, her body shaking like a leaf as its smashed left and right by the massive hammer, one of them smashing the ancient Sword of Aqqa into tiny fragments. Even as it lashes out reinforcements arrive, from the keep's door Makavoy runs to the gate and spies the Titan fighting 3 warrior woman all gleaming with various holy armours. Behind the beguiler Donal grabs up hi gear before with a thundererous crash a massive flying landshark lands near the titan bellowing a roar.

    The distraction proves valuable as Mirriana plunges from the sky atop the griffin to heal Zarina with the rod of 7 parts and commands her to move. She pulls out her father's blade, magic pulsing throuygh her as becomes feline and savage looking with stripes over her already strange scales as she is joined by Elkist and the elemental all lashing out at the Titan that sheds blood as the blades, fists and spears strike home.

    The titan, now grievously wounded bellows its rage. "I WILL NOT BE BROUGHT LOW BY INSECTS SUCH AS YOU!" he holds aloft his hands summoning a great power as a vast fist of a god slams down from the heavens through Zarina and Elkist with earth shattering force as its rests a hand upon his chest, blood oozing back into his body and wounds closing as he laughs madly

    Makavoy has but a split second to take in the magnitude of the fight, right as the wounded Titan starts casting his spells, the Dust Digger makes an immediate decision.
    Right before the Titan's spells take place Makavoy's ring tingle with anticipation. And Makavoy uses it to redirect the healing spell to the tiger-looking warrior.

    He then moves in to find an angle of attack on the opposite side of the Bullete, and still invisible, he conjures the desert sand to strike down the Titan. Then moves away swiftly to take cover in the cave.

    "Be right behind you..." Donal pauses for a moment while the halfling transforms into a landshark but just shakes his head and hustles over to join them, the wounds on body slowing healing. "Thought I saw some lightning strikes over the walls, this'll help." Donal holds out his shield and calls for a warding from the battle god. Sparks crackle around himself and his allies before fading from view. Still favoring his side and a weak leg, Donal keeps out of range of the mad Titan on his approach.

    Zarina staggers under the impact of the vast fist of divine fury and then exhales as a wave of healing energy rushes through her as Makavoy holding aloft his ring steals the healing energy that would have rushed through the titan. Krathanos screams a rage, a rage so fierce that the woman beside him can feel the force of it in their bodies as his wounds do not close up. The Titan staggers more as Mirriana once more summons a gleaming hammer of force that once more smashes into its chest.

    The finish comes even as it raises its hammer and the fist in the sky looks ready to drop on Zarina the bulette flies forward. A flurry of armoured teeth and claws as the land shark's massive bulk clashes with the Titan's and as Lan-Shark's claws dig in he claws his way up the exposed and battled damaged titan's back before with a sickening crunch the bulette clamps its jaws on his helmetless head and chomps down once... With a slow toppling creak the titan tumbles forward and (to Zarina's immediate relief) the fist in the sky unravels fading away.

    The Titan lies dead and the 4 Champions of Greyhawk and Saviours of Diamond Lake can see the strange armoured warrior staggering free of the Keep's gate.

    Zarina flinches and looks upwards at the fist in the sky and the battle raging titan and offers a prayer for her own survival before the hammer of gleaming force cracks into and then Lan leaps atop it to savage it with bestial fury. As it collapses she floats back down to the earth and drops to her knees surrounded by the shattered remains of the Sword of Aqaa. Looking up at the others she floats up and slowly flies towards Lan and pats him on the armoured beak that is his current face. "My thanks. I would not have survived much more of the onslaught. He was a being of evil and destruction and the worlds are a better place with him gone."

    Then as she looks towards Donal (she can't see the invisible Sandshaper) and the fleeing giant girallion and looks back to Lan. "Who is your new friend you have found?"

    "Oh. That's great." Donal says as the titan dies. He hobbles backwards until his back touches the wall and then just slides down to the ground with a crunch. "Just need a few minutes to heal. Name's Donal Ren. Can call me Renny if you like." He says in between wheezes. "Don't know where the wizard is but he's probably still around."

    While his slow healing spell takes care of his broken body Donal enchants himself and his arms and armor with their usual wardings. "I can call for more healing if someone needs it." he offers to his rescuers.

That is fortunate, the portal to this isle seems to have had a disagreement with ours. You're both welcome to join us? It appears you've already met Landahl Snowstider, our scout. These others are Zarina Brightblade and Elkist Talphrin, swordswomen like myself. If everyone gathers round I can heal our wounds. I don't think we want to do any more fighting today, and I can raise a better shelter than this crumbling ruin."

    "Long story short, we're seeking to prevent the return of the evil demigod Kyuss who would subject the world to a wave of undeath carried by his vile worms. Along the way we've triumphed in the Champions' Games, slain black dragons and demons, and gained the favour of Allustan, Manzorian, and the Wind Dukes of legend. We were sent to this island by Lady Lashona to prevent knowledge of Kyuss's lieutenant Dragotha's phylactery falling into the hands of Darl Quethos and to recover that knowledge for ourselves, although frankly we don't trust Lashona either . That's why we need Krathanos' belt and to complete the other challenges. I presume you're aware?"

    I heal myself with a charge from my wand of restoration, and anyone else who needs it using my remaining spell slots.

    "I'm sorry about the sword of Aaqa, Zarina. If you gather the pieces we can patch it back together with a mending spell and we'll get it properly reforged when we have time."

    As the titan collapses under the bulette's pouncing attack, Makavoy approaches the group, still invisible, and detects magic on the titan's glorious corpse, he listens to the convenient exposition and introductions and then, while dismissing his own invisibility spell, he says.

    The name is Makavoy.

    As he appears next to them in all his royal aspect. resting his raksasha shaped hands on the the staff of the desert muskrat.

    But I'm no wizard. I'm a mere Beguiler, and a proud member of the Dust Diggers of Suel. You really light a candle over the purpose of my presence here, I came with some ill-fated companions under mandate of my order without much knowledge of why. If Kyuss is involved, this is deeper than I thought.
