Balance Themed Spells
Im currently creating a Level 1 Death Cleric for a campaign im in, and I want to give his spell list a theme of balance. For each spell he has, there would be another spell which does just about the opposite effect (ex. Bane and Bless, Vampiric Touch and Life Transference, etc). Are there any spells on the cleric spell list that act as an opposite to another spell? Because his domain, he already has False Life (A spell which wont have a counterpart spell) and Ray of Sickness. Any help on finding spells which would make sense to be flavored as opposites would be greatly appreciated

Re: Balance Themed Spells
Ignore Traps! Lose Object! Water Sink! Okay, I'll stop.
Cure/Inflict Wounds would surely be one pair.

Re: Balance Themed Spells
Sickening Radiance almost feels like it's trying to contradict itself. Create or Destroy Water gives opposite options.
Toll the Dead and Spare the Dying's names feel like opposites, and the spell functions are also effectively opposites (damage vs. conservation).
Restoration spells could be opposed to status-causing spells like Hold Person or Contagion.
Bestow Curse vs. Remove Curse. (Even if those curses are clearly different!) Hallow course replace Remove Curse.
Protection from Energy as a "tax" to justify a damage spell. Similar for Death Ward I suppose.
Heal and Harm.
Conjuration spells (e.g. Conjure Celestial) and Banishment.
Create Undead / Animate Dead vs. Gentle Repose.
Depending on how you feel about planes, Etherealness vs. Astral Projection.

Re: Balance Themed Spells
Warding Bond has a sort of “balance” theme because it splits the damage that is received between both of you.
There’s also Life Transference and Vampiric Touch
