Kitten's AoO from last round hit, dealing 1 damage and tripping the mutant.

Cordelia heals Akula and Kitten will hit the (prone) mutant with its bite and the second claw. Neither attack do enough to overcome DR.
Tillandi's spiritual weapon misses the demon-cleric. Her attack hits the dretch, doing 5 damage after DR. She then steps back out of melee.
Akula steps forward, full attacks, and hits once dealing 5 damage after DR.
Firi'Sar follows the worm-demon and attacks, hitting for 8 damage.

The mutant stands, incurring an AoO from Kitten, which hits and trips him but does no damage. He then stands again with a second action.
The dretch full-attacks Akula, hitting him only once with a claw for 2 damage.
The worm-demon moves away from Firi'Sar, incurring an AoO that hits for 6 damage. It then activates a SLA, healing itself and damaging both Firi'Sar and Cordelia for 4 damage, Will DC 16 for half.
The demon-cleric casts Cause Fear on Kitten, DC 12 Will save or she flees for 1 round. If she passes she is shaken for one turn. The cleric then flees to the south, out of view of the PCs (but still in sight of Kitten).

The party makes steady progress, continuing to whittle down the enemy as the PCs steadfastly resist the worst of the magic and attacks the demons and their allies can muster. Kitten feels the give of sliced mutant-flesh (finally) as she trips the mutant and works to keep the deformed humanoid prone. Cordelia heals Akula, Tillandi solidly stabs the dretch with her trident, and Akula hammers the demon with both fists. Finally, Firi'Sar continues to savage the worm-demon with his cold iron rapier, the metal piercing the abyssal flesh without resistance.

The mutant-humanoid tries to stand, succeeding the second time as the dretch tries to lay into Akula. Fortunately for him, Akula only takes a single glancing scratch from the demon's claws. The worm-demon slithers and crawls away from Firi'Sar, suffering yet another stab wound for its efforts. From a bit further away it invokes an unholy power and a wave of wrongness washes over both the miniature-elf and Cordelia. At the same time some of the demon's wounds knit shut as the negative energy heals it.

"Flee in terror from the might of Demogorgon, pitiful animal!" shrieks the demonic-cleric as he directs fearful magic at Cordelia's animal companion. Then the man runs to the south, out of sight of the heroes and into the room across from Kitten.

Curse your cold-iron and curse that fool who called me!

hisses the worm demon in its abyssal tongue as it glares hatefully at Firi'Sar and his sword.

Kitten, Cordelia, and Firi'Sar all need saving throws as noted in the [Mechanics] spoiler.

The dretch is bloodied (at less than half its max HPs). The worm-demon was briefly bloodied before healing back up above half when it used its SLA.

Kitten merely shakes her head to clear the whispers in her head, and continues to savage the mutant in front of her with frustration, then having unleashed her fury she backs off slightly, and begins to prowl, staring past the mutant at her commanded target lurking in the far room.

Meanwhile Cordelia also resists the worst of the spell effect, stepping forward with Akula to tap him with the wand again. "Here, more healing to keep you fighting!" she says.

Hearing the cleric run off, Tillandi realised that they had to be quick, so the time had come to unleash. Stepping to the side to see the worm in the back, she called upon procan's blessing and threw out a blast of positive energy especially damaging to evil outsiders, like the dretch and the worm. Tillandi moved to E6 (since Cordelia needed to touch Akula) and uses alignment channel to deal 7 damage to the worm-demon. It is bloodied.

The mutant charges Firi'Sar, attacking with his scimitar and hitting for 4 damage.
The demon-cleric draws and attacks with his MW greataxe, missing Firi'Sar.

The worm-demon flees along the ceiling to the south, apparently intent on reaching the loose earth at the opposite side of the room.

The battle continues to go in the heroes' favor as Akula's fists pummel the dretch into deathly unconsciousness and Tillandi channels [Good] energy directly into the worm-demon, leaving it wheezing in pain. Cordelia heals Akula with the party's wand as Kitten ineffectually bites and claws at the mutant.

Then Firi'Sar's dramatic action demonstrates the shrunken elf's mastery of his chosen blade. Stepping away from the worm-demon, through the grease, and past the mutant he deliberately leaves himself vulnerable and when the malformed creature predictably tries to slash at him the swashbuckler stabs the monster in a moving parry and riposte! Then he arrives face to face with the surprised cleric!

"Bah! To me, to me!" orders the vile man, though his cry isn't really necessary. The mutant is already barreling towards both men, slashing at Firi'Sar. This time the elf doesn't quite dodge, distracted as he is by the now-flanking creature. The cleric of Demogorgon then draws a greataxe and slashes at Firi'Sar, missing as the elf is now better balanced against the pair...

He did not compel me enough to die here - kill the madman if you like, I will eat of his soul in the end either way!

grumbles the worm-demon as it slithers and crawls along the ceiling away from Tillandi. At the southern end of the room it drops to the ground and looks to be preparing to burrow away through the wet, loose earth!

Firi'Sar is flanked currently and the worm-demon is fleeing. You have one round before it burrows into the earth and escapes!

Firi'Sar has the opportunity to use parry and riposte on the mutant. I need to know if it hits and how much damage it does. (The parry attempt is the "20" rolled for the acrobatics skill check that wasn't necessary. It succeeds.)

Cordelia nearly laughs in triumph as the worm-demon finally gives her an opening! "Stone Call!" She casts, stepping back into the cavern to get a clear line of sight.

Kitten meanwhile takes the opening created by the relocation of her opponent to go after her main target the priest, even if risking an attack from the mutant.

Seeing as there was nothing she could do to stop the worm from burrowing into the loose ground, she started moving towards the rest of the enemies they still had, being careful over the grease spell. Activating her movement ability from Procan, she could move through the grease without too much problems.

Firi'Sar's AoO on the mutant hits, but does not pierce DR. It takes 4 damage.

Cordelia moves and casts Stone Call doing 3 damage to the worm-demon (it's a spell, so it isn't effected by DR, same as falling damage).
Kitten moves and attacks/critical-hits/trips the priest for 9 damage.
The Mutant misses Kitten with its AoO.

Tillandi moves to AA10, either passing a DC 10 Acrobatics check to jump over the acid or taking 2 acid damage, and incurring an AoO from the priest, which misses.
Akula jumps over the acid but into the Grease - he saves to keep standing. He makes it to flank the mutant with Firi'Sar, but no further and not with actions left to attack.
Firi'Sar moves - neither enemy has AoOs left - and heals himself.

The prone cleric uses Channel Negative Energy to deal 6 damage to everyone except Cordelia. If anyone passes a DC 11 Will save they take half damage. He then stands, incurring AoOs from Kitten and Tillandi.
The mutant full attacks Akula, missing with his sword but biting him for 8 damage. Akula needs to roll a DC 14 Fortitude save or become afflicted with a disease.

The heroes rush the last two humanoid enemies, largely avoiding the grease and acid as they try to prevent either of them from fleeing. Kitten grievously bites the cleric of Demogorgon and trips him to the floor, though no one else is able to further injure the man. Meanwhile, Cordelia attempts to bludgeon the fleeing worm-demon with conjured stone, doing some damage but not incapacitating the outsider. Firi'Sar backs up and heals himself, fortuitously it turns out.

"Demogorgon, destroy them!" screams the cleric as a burst of negative energy rolls out sickeningly from him, briefly making the area around him darker as it seeps the life from everyone in the room with him (including the mutant). The mutant continues to fight, in spite of wounds that should have overcome it, slashing and biting at Akula. It misses with its blade, but it's sharp, shark-like teeth bite down on the Darfellan and he winces as he tries to resist the infection-riddled maw of the creature.

In the other room Cordelia watches as the badly injured worm-demon burrows into the ground, fleeing the combat entirely.

Tillandi needs to pass a DC 10 Acrobatics check or take 2 acid damage from moving through the acid pool.

Everyone except Cordelia needs to pass a DC 11 Will save or take 6 negative energy damage. Anyone who passes only takes 3 damage.

Akula needs to pass a DC 14 Fortitude save or become infected with the same disease threatening Tillandi.

Kitten and Tillandi get AoOs on the cleric.

Between Tillandi and Kitten, the cleric of Demogorgon is killed.
The mutant survives several hits from Akula and Firi'Sar.

The mutant tries to full attack Firi'Sar, missing both times.

Next round the PCs will kill the mutant, but it's death throes give it one last bite attack, which it uses against Kitten, missing.
It then explodes in acid, splattering the party in 1d6 acid damage. This needs to be healed, but combat is over.

The battle ends precipitously for the demon-worshipers as the PCs converge on the cleric first and then the mutant. Neither enemy connects with their remaining attacks, though the mutant does go into its death throes, snapping its jaws ineffectually at Kitten before exploding in acid. The cleric's death is too abrupt for him to verbally jab at the heroes as he falls to the ground bleeding out from his wounds.

End of combat! Everyone needs to roll a DC 15 Reflex save or take 1d6 acid damage. Please manage the healing appropriately.

With the Kellani house cleansed of the demon-cult leadership you need to report to the young noblewoman, Rowyn Kellani, of your success and prepare to chase Vanthus Vanderboren to Kraken's Cove. I will be preparing a first-post of the next chapter of the campaign while we wrap up this one - great work!

As soon as the last one dropped, Tillandi gave a little prayer to Procan that it was over. Then after checking the bodies for interesting stuff, she gathered everybody around her and started some magical heals so everybody was at least somewhat better looking before they would go back up.

"Far better the demon than the cleric who called it. Did you hear what it was saying? For better or worse, he's here for a while, so be on your guard. If it decides to show up again, you can be sure it won't be at a convenient time." He brushes himself off, apparently fully comfortable once more the size of a normal Elf.

"At least now we won't be leaving this mess behind us when we go hunting for Vanthus."

As the party looks around the basement rooms previously occupied by the cult of Demogorgon they find very little of real value, at least to civilized people. The demons carried nothing unless you intend to try and harvest their bodies for unusual spell components. This grisly process could produce some small cash, but is made very unpleasant by their unnatural physiologies and generally unsavory eating habits. The two mutants both exploded, leaving only a pair of acid-pitted cutlasses behind (mechanically broken, not even masterwork). The cleric had several combat items of interest, though.

Three bottles of Alchemist’s Fire, an Elixir of Hiding, a Wand of Bear’s Endurance with 5 charges, a set of medium-sized masterwork chainmail, a masterwork greataxe, a heavy cloak, and a lead unholy symbol of Demogorgon.

The altar and accoutrements of the cult have no resale value without breaking them down into their constituent parts. In addition, they are either gross and obviously demonic in nature and/or large and bulky. It's likely best to report that things are cleared out to Lady Kellani and explain what is left for her to address with more mundane workers.

The party takes the stairs back up, rings the gong, and is escorted by the butler (who looks somewhat happier to not see the cult leader) to Lady Kellani. Rowyn smiles her dazzling smile, nods at the party's report, and then responds, "So you managed without requiring any assistance - well done! It is good to see that I wasn't wrong to make amends with Lady Vanderboren and acquire your services too.

Now, are you on your way out to catch Vanthus tomorrow? You won't need longer to prepare, will you?"

"These are some useful things," Tillandi remarked as they collected the priest's stuff, "the rest we can best leave for Lady Kellani to remove."
She would however, take any dangerous items that could cause hurt to innocent people or bring people to this cult (like books for instance) for destruction by the priests in her temple or another temple if needed. She wasn't about to let these things linger around.

"We just need to get some rations and stuff like that," Tillandi said to Lady Kellani when they discussed things, "and check out the ship. Well, find one first, as we didn't have had the time yet. We decided to get this demon infestation out of the way first."

"I'm keen to get after Vanthus," Cordelia adds to Tillandi's comments. "We should just be able to hire passage for now, the important thing is that we catch up to him before the trail goes cold again."

Firi'Sar nods. "Shouldn't be too hard to hire a ship to deliver us to an obscure but not dangerous part of the coastline. Getting back may be markedly more complicated. Do you have any connections that may be able to assist us on that count, Lady Kellani?"

Lady Kellani nods as the PCs discuss their priorities. "Good, good. Had you asked me about connections at the harbor several days ago I might have been able to help you, but someone did a very thorough job of removing the influences of the 'Lady Lotus' from the harbor recently," she says, looking meaningfully at Firi'Sar as she answers his question. "I've no longer the leverage there that I had when I ran an illicit thieves guild. That said, bygones will be bygones and we've agreed to leave that water under the bridge, haven't we? Besides, in a port city there should be plenty of options available. Perhaps one of you can sail a rental boat, make a holiday out of it?"

Rowyn Kellani's teethy smile is both stunningly beautiful and laden with well-controlled emotion - a potent combination that leaves Firi'Sar profoundly aware that this woman is both lovely and dangerous...and perhaps attracted to challenging men? Probably best not to dwell on that too much...

Spoiler: Reminders for the Players - the PCs would remember this...

You remember that the late harbormaster, Keltar Islaran, was murdered in an attempted take-over by the Lotus Dragons about a week ago (see the fourth spoiler, here). That event was one of the most ambitious actions the guild had performed so far and part of what set you all upon them.

Of course, Lady Kellani is exactly right - it is child's play to find a boat for rent and either sail it yourselves or hire someone to do it for you. The directions to the Kraken's Cove found in Vanthus' room in the Lotus Dragon guildhall should be easy for a seasoned boatswain to manage.

It would be wise to remember that your two patronesses are very different, even if they both possess a certain noble drive. Lady Vanderboren remains optimistic and adventurous, but Rowyn Kellani did lead the most powerful thieves' guild in Sasserine until very recently.

I can also tell you that after this next chapter you will have your own ship, so I recommend keeping this simple unless you wish to begin building up a cadre of NPCs to crew it. I can see an advantage either way.
