Phexian meanwhile stabs the steam mephit in the side, leaving it barely hanging on to life. Hergolla then finishes it off with a hammer-blow, and the creature erupts into a cloud of scalding steam.

Praiodan follows after the mud mephit, slicing deep into its form with his sword.

The mud mephit swings a fist at the paladin with a burbling battle cry.

The ice mephit paws and swipes at Hergolla with its chill claws.
(1d20+3)[7] for (1d4+1)[4] slashing + (1d4)[1] cold damage.

Skroog creates a magical cloud of daggers. The dust mephit takes 14 damage, sending puffs of dust all over the place. The creature feebly flaps backwards on tattered wings before casting a spell. "This more ouchy than butler job supposed to be! Take a nap!"

Melted stone marred Praiodan's face as the creature exploded, but the pain only spurred him on to take down the muddy creature with undisguised hatred on his face.

Phexian had more luck ducking away from the worst of the damage, but failed misserably at hit thing the ice creature.

Praoidan and Phexian attack the mud mephit, waking it up! It's barely alive and on the floor, and very unhappy.

Hergolla lands a blow on the ice mephit, hurting it.

With a snarl, the mud mephit attacks Praoidan. "Me kill you! Or me go back to plane of earth!" [roll][1d20+3[/roll]16 for (1d6+1)[6] bludgeoning damage.

The ice mephit screeches and slashes at Hergolla with its claws. (1d20+3)[8] for (1d4+1)[3] slash & (1d4)[4] cold.

Skroog then taunts the ice mephit viciously. (1d20)[3] vs DC 12 or take 2 damage and have disadvantage next time.

The dust mephit ducks through the smoky area, emerging next to Hergolla and blasting her and Skroog with a cone of dust. It then backs off.
=> Dex DC 10 or blind for 1 minute, repeat saving throw at the end of each turn.
=>Hergolla gets an OA after resolving blindness.
=> Everyone but Skroog

While Phexian escaped the mud easily enough, Praiodan was stuck with his heavy armor in the sticky substance. His lightfooted brother meanwhile dove through the still lingering cloud in search of the remaining mephit, exiting the cloud east of the creature and slashing his rapier across it's belly.
