Yeah, but that doesn't mean that it didn't feel weird.

Unrelated: Munster cheese and Italian-style roast beef(from a deli) fried in soybean oil is a good sandwich.

I still don't understand why the French spell a word "hors d'oeuvre" but pronounce it "o durv"

Not only is "hors" ¾ silent, but "d'oeuvre" has the v and r swapped between the spelling and pronunciation.

    That's because we don't.

Wrong, the "h" and "s" of hors are silent, but not the "r". The "v" and "r" of œuvre are not swapped either. We don't swap letters when pronouncing words, that's an English-speaker thing.

Frankly, I think most European languages had the right idea to use diacritics to denote when a letter should be pronounced differently. But then some just had to go overboard on silent letters, and not even have the courtesy to denote them!

To be fair, I believe that must silent letters aren't so much silent as modifying the pronunciation of other letters.

Except in English. I've got no clue how English works.

When ot comes to French it's more a 50/50 split.
Edit: to be clear, what you are referring to are called digrams and they're very common in French. It should also be noted that a lot of "e" aren't silent but are actually schwas which is pretty hard to tell from a silent letter if you don't have the ear for it.

Except in English. I've got no clue how English works.
    It mostly doesn't, really.

Google pronounced it "o'O!-darva" except with the "r" and "v" somehow coming out at the exact same time. I don't know how someone's supposed to do that without being a computer.

I think that's the computer trying to read it as if it were an English word, it certainly is not how it is pronounced in French.

Edit: try having it be translated to French and then hitting the sound button under the French box, that should give you the correct (standard French) pronounciation.

I once had a dream they consisted entirely off me waking up to different wallpaper. Same room and it all seemed normal, but there was a lot more red.

Also once dreamt about waking up next to my partner. I have weirdly mundane dreams.

Like I said earlier when I need to get my anxiety under control I meditate on the idea of reclining in a hammock on a beach in spring when it's warm enough to be dressed for the beach but cool enough that it's not uncomfortable.

The weather is best when the warm sun and the cool breeze cancel each other out so you feel just slightly cool. Partly cloudy, not enough to obscure the blue sky but enough that the sun can't get in your eyes.

No. General concerns about medicine abuse aside, I don't think it would mesh well with the potato texture nor the amount of salt.

However, "fry sauce" is overly vague in the "isn't any sauce applied to fries, including ketchup, fry sauce at that point" sense; and overly reductive in that it overlooks the wide range of other potato products it enhances (tater tots, potato wedges, jojos). Also it's been called "pink sauce" around here for as long as I can remember, and that's over a third of a century at this point.
