Actually I did have the poison save bonus in mind, it's the very first strip I hadn't thought of when I posted it, though later it occurred to me that that was probably a racial too.

Personally speaking, I didn't pick up on the reveal from 842. (Truth be told, I didn't pick up on it from 856 either.) I have no doubt some people picked up on it from the hint in 842, but I don't think that supports your inference that the question is invalid. 856 was in fact "a huge hint" to something not affirmatively known.

My apologies that I didn't phrase it to your liking, but I believe the wording was as accurate and clear as could be reasonably expected (without drowning it in every imaginable qualifier) for a riddle. I don't think I've ever heard someone say "Logorrhea is the soul of wit", and I don't think such an expectation would serve this thread well.

I had The Gambler in mind, but I deliberately left it open-ended because I figured it was very possible there was more than one. With my luck, the parade choreography Elan lamented would have been alluding to a country music video or something. (^_~)
