Find me a panel where Elan says a word that is a noun, the same word in its adjective form, and again in its superlative form, a total of five times among them. That’s all in one word balloon.

I think the question makes sense, but I can hint if need be.

Just to get some clarification on this: In this strip the glasses are filled with blue wine and not water, correct? That's what I've always surmised.

Reasonable surmise, given that everyone has one in the last row of panels except the pregnant bride, the groom, and the Serious Business bodyguard. (A pregnant bride seems unlikely to turn down water, and likely to turn down wine.) And it's a much darker blue than the seawater behind them. And they're refugees from Blue City.

But at a glance it'd be dreadfully easy to assume blue liquid = water.

Eh, looking back it's not proven water. I totally assumed blue liquid = water.

Can't think of a way of rephrasing it (wine glass with blue liquid) right now without including that scene, so you win...

Edit: To clarify the exclamation mark over his head is on it's own, there could be other things on the panel (dialogue, characters, etc).

If it saves anyone time, it's not any of the strips in the pyramid while he's deafened by Holy Word (he does "say" an ellipsis, but not an exclamation point). Or the strip where Belkar finds Mr. Scruffy, shot by Yukyuk.

I checked when he gets silenced at the godsmoot, when he wakes up and activates the protection from evil amulet in the last fight with Greg, when he first buys the amulet, when he tried to get killed by Miko, when he made his spot check against the goblin ninja, when he goes through his spirit vision and gets the mark of justice lifted, when the mark first activates, when they have the chase scene in the desert on the t-rex, when he gets that dust and gets attacked by the worm in the desert, when they rescue roy's body from mitd and get stomped, when he figures out xykon has greater invisibility in the battle of azure city, when he kills all the goblins outside azure city...

There's a pretty good chance it was in one of those and I just missed it at this point...

I assumed that Ruck was entitled to the OQ by finding the blue glasses, but I guess this question's posted instead and we may as well answer it, especially since it turned out so tricky to track down. Thanks to the posters above for helping the rest of us avoid wild goose chases!

The exclamation point in question is in strip 28, in response to Haley asking about Elan's blade (sorry I can't post links yet, after this post only one more to go!)

It can get a case thrown out of court in Cliffport, though YMMV on whether that was an out to make it more believable that the Nale/Elan switch wasn't noticed.
