I believe his tusk is what he calls his axe, and specifically that scene is written to mirror Roy's "You broke my sword!" in the battle with Xykon at Dorukan's dungeon.

I have to admit that until this conversation I never really noticed that Thog's tooth was broken. However, it's still a little difficult for me not to see the parallel between Roy breaking Thog's axe and Xykon breaking Roy's sword. (Maybe I've just had that ingrained for so long that it's tough for me to see the other interpretation-- I thought I'd find another example of Thog referring to his axe that way, but instead I found the opposite.)

In the same strip you linked Thog gives a happy indication of looking forward to the ultimate battle of opposites (greataxe vs greatsword) - as his 'side' was the greataxe it would be looked at like he was a fan of the greataxe like some of the spectators were fans of Thog.

On consideration (and with the same strip linked) I felt that was too roundabout and decided to just accept your answer referring to the later panel in that strip (particularly when I had said strip rather then panel).

On enq's question. One is easy: #408 third, Belkar praises Shojo (postumously). Then it gets harder. #127 eleventh panel is definitely sarcastic, so is #171 tenth and eleventh, I think #405 seventh panel about Shojo also counts as sarcastic. I don't know the answer.

Page 2 Panel 10 Roy explicitly calls out the broken tooth. Dang it! If I'd been thinking, I'd have just used "Who besides Thog noticed his broken tooth?" as my question. *sigh* Oh well. Too late now.
