Hazel's accusation of perversion becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy - the man didn't form a opinion of exactly what Hazel and Hana had been doing in that changing room, before Hazel said that. Now he's imagining them enacting all his steamy fantasies.

"... Reeverman, Hana Jane", he says to the hotel check-in. "She present? Can you tell her I'm waiting in the lobby."

Inside, the lobby is paved with vinyl tiles, a chequered pattern of black and white, with a small dining room to one side where visitors can eat in, chat to the pretty people who hang around there, and watch decades-old movies on the old television in the corner. It's quite busy right now, with lots of guests having breakfast, though there's a few pretty people still hanging around, mostly having their own breakfast.

There's two receptionists, who turn to look at Sandals and away from the television on their desk as he approaches. One of the receptionists is a chubby young man, human with a finely groomed moustache below vibrant green eyes set in his pale, freckled face, red hair short save a long rat tail hanging down their back. The other is a young quarter-elf woman with darker skin, hazel eyes and shockingly white hair braided to her shoulders. Both are clean and tidy, wearing a uniform of tight grey trousers and a sleeveless red top, quite low-cut to show off the plain brass chokers both receptionists wear. The elfblood is first to reply, unless Sandal's eyes move towards the male receptionist. "I'm sorry sir, but we cannot tell you. Even if you bribed us, we can't tell you. We don't know, as we don't ask for names unless they've made a reservation." And nearly nobody makes a reservation, except for the Master's Suite on the top floor, and the name for that is usually 'Slaver's Guild'. In addition, Hana only told one person her name whilst she was here, and that person has since left. The other receptionist speaks up at this point, however.
"We might, unofficially, be able to look through the security footage to see which room she checked into, if you can give us a description and a time of her visit, but it would be unofficial and ideally, you would be a customer, renting a room for... Let's say an hour, and we overcharge you." In other words, a bribe. Except a bribe that doesn't look like a bribe, to anyone paying only passing attention to the receptionists. As he speaks, the quarter-elf moves the television and presses buttons on a remote, flicking through some security camera footage- some of it looks to be from inside rooms in the hotel.

It might have something to do with the way Hana's trying to keep them together, combined with the way Abbi smiles when she sees her. Abbi has no memories of anyone treating her as well as Hana does, so a little crush is perhaps unavoidable.

Another thing- Abbi's bruises are gone. Even the black eye. She's been given a complete healing, and unlike Hana, she's not gone on to do anything that would injure herself further. She's still a little underfed looking, but far healthier than she has been since Hana first met her. She still limps out of the cell when it's opened, and smiles as she's shrouded in a coat too. It's not as soft as the last thing she wore- the dressing-gown Hana printed for her- but it is at least warm. They're joined by several others from these punishment cells- a hirsute dwarf lady with a long malachite-green beard swept over her shoulders to cascade down her back with her matching hair, copper-coloured eyes and ruddy skin; a delicate-looking drow with the grace of a cat, with pale grey skin and shark-like black eyes, her head completely shaved; a human woman with the remains of a purple mohawk, her hair growing brown around it, blue eyes fierce and covered in elaborate gang tattoos; and an innocent-looking halfling who looks shy of twenty, large orange eyes wide and staring, a faint smile on her cute face, and dirty blonde hair brushing her shoulders- though she's also wearing shredders on her wrists and ankles, her elbows are restrained behind her, and she's got five red dots- only Hana has so many; most of the others have an orange one or two. As they move outside, the halfling brushes against the one-legged gladiator, and suddenly she's holding a knife which she plunges into his working leg. He screams, she tries running, holding the bloody knife, but the Amazon catches her in two strides and picks her up easily.

    Street of Slavers

It doesn't take too long after he's left the street for Fifi and Makaru make their move- the kor fires a helium pellet-gun at the back of Korvin's head whilst Fifi waits around a corner. Magoo runs as soon as she notices Korvin's been shot, and rounds the corner into Fifi's arms and is then whisked onto the rooftops.

    [Black Abyss Body Shop]

Raven's hands tremble as she reads the note and crinkles start to form where she clenches too hard. She knew what this was. A lot of fancy words to tell her she's being ghosted. The timing was too conspicuous, the method of delivery too obtuse. Rose could have dropped by and told her directly or used the phone. Nobody uses flowers to vanish on the pretense of... what? A mental health day?

Actually, why bother with the flowers at all? That doesn't make sense for someone who was trying to run away. It casts doubt on the whole id-
"Hey lady, blah blah blah bleurgh blah."

Raven's attention swivels to the man trying to hand her a clipboard, his other words drowned out by how purely uninteresting he was.
    "Shut up."

She was trying to think here! How exceptionally rude. A mecha-zombie goes to grab the man by his throat, lift him and then physically eject him from the premises by tossing him out on his butt in a very literal sense. Moments later the shop's sign flipped from OPEN to CLOSED and the door locks.

There was no way to alleviate this anxious feeling, this deep concern. Only time would tell if it was well founded. Fine. Time Rose shall have. She's given Raven a huge spark of inspiration for her next evil project and it will take some time to set up. Raven will focus on that for now and when it was completed, she shall see if Rose will truly stand by her side or if she needs to find someone else to invite to prom.

Of course the man pays attention to the elfling first. He'll add her to his bizarre changing room fantasy. But then, the receptionists explain how things work here, or rather, don't work, and he loses it. "The Hell? She has to have made a reservation to st- ... wait, you just hand keys to people who show up? Without even taking a pseud-... but you do have cameras following people? Who runs this place???" He grabs his head with both hands and stares at the receptionists. This place is almost certainly a front for illicit operations and not trustworthy at all!

After a few seconds he calms down and considers the offer. "Hrmph. Okay. How many zorkmids... errr, spheres for a room?"

"Most of our guests are travellers from the air-docks. They don't know when they're going to arrive, it depends on fuelling, wind, and cargo. Likewise, most don't want anyone they don't trust to know where they are, to avoid the assassination attempts of rivals or overzealous bounty hunters. The cameras keep our property safe, and allow the security to respond quickly to anyone who threatens our guests during their stay." Other than, of course, other security guards. And the cameras inside the rooms provide a bonus income to the hoteliers.
"The owners of the hotel are Mister Sadophile Trust and Madame Zaada Worthy. The managers are Vail Kobe, Felix Millbourne and Tunalenu Vesshalor. Mister Trust is in the building at the moment, but is too busy for casual visitors. A room would cost [amount], though I'm unfamiliar with spheres and would have to judge their value separately." Sandals would possibly be better off here trying to use zorkmids, rather than the spheres Earl gave him because fancy unusual currency.

Hana hugs Abbi the second she's free, giving the ratgirl a reassuring squeeze and pat on the back, taking a minute to just... well, revel isn't quite the right word, as that would imply she's happy. This is more of a state of relief; for a minute, there's not much to worry about, other than eventually breaking out.

And then the halfling nearly breaks free.

Hana cringes as she witnesses this escape attempt take place, but doesn't intervene. She's pushing her luck with getting Abbi free as is. But shorty here... she looks like she could be a help. Something to bear in mind if she survives the next thirty seconds.

Fortunately, at this distance, Korvin's head is an unreasonably small target, and he's chosen now to give Magoo another shove; this results in the pellet in question going by his ear, grazing the lobe in a superficial but no less painful injury. He swears loudly and covers his ear, ducking into a nearby alleyway for cover... for a brief second, before checking to see if Makaru intends to pursue him. Some of his men are going to be pretty vindictive, he's sure.

"Dat's a load a' bull." Hazel scowls, looking back up at the monitors as they flicker through the room feeds. If the hotel is anything like when Hana was here, that'll be enough to flush her ectoplasmic cheeks with something vaguely resembling color. "Geez l- Hana, why da hell didja come here?" She sticks her tongue out at what she's seeing. "Dat's nasty. Dat's..." She points her finger at one of the curtained rooms. "Dat's a rat. Dat's an actual rat, doin'..." Her hand goes to her mouth and her body is racked with dry heaves, made drier by the fact that she couldn't actually physically get sick anymore.

The Amazon turns to the other gladiators-to-be, holding the struggling halfling up, hands under her armpits. "Stay with me, fight for me, and you will be rewarded. You'll get plenty of food, you'll get booze if you want it, you'll get exercise, medical treatment, you'll be looked after. Eventually, maybe you'll even get freedom. You disrespect me, you spit on my generosity, you get this." The Amazon lowers the halfling until her feet are on the ground, one hand still gripping the halfling firmly as the other grips the back of the halfling's neck. The tiny girl manages to get a short scream off before with a brutal crack the Amazon snaps her neck. The Amazon drops the corpse and strides away, the other gladiators pushing their new recruits past the body.

Abbi's not seen death quite so close before, and she's looking a little green. If she'd had breakfast yet, she might not be able to hold it down... Though fortunately, she hasn't.

    Street of Slavers

Makaru is swinging to another rooftop, using a chain and a grappling hook. On his homeworld, the kor swing between cliffs and mountainsides and floating islands, and it's the same skills in use here. He's following, but keeping his distance. When he can see Korvin again, he'll fire another pellet. He's less interested in killing the slaver, and more in keeping him running scared and unable to call for help, so Fifi and Magoo can get away clean.

"Sound like fine and upstanding citizens", the bandaged man says with no small amount of sarcasm upon hearing names of the owners. He rummages through his pockets, but alas, finds no zorkmids. "Looks like I can't pay your prices. Such a pity", he says dryly, showing his empty hands. "So, I suppose I'll be going now. Have a nice day." He gets out of the line and heads back outside.

Hana sees it coming, and while she's a little more used to witnessing executions, it's been some time since she's seen one this close. It also doesn't occur to her until she sees Abbi's face that the ratgirl might not be used to it; she holds up a bloodied hand to obscure her view, but too belatedly to prevent Abbi from witnessing the halfling get snapped.

    Ouch.

Even knlwing it was coming, Hana can't help but cringe. That's just brutal.

With that in mind, she follows the gladiators out, keeping Abbi close in the meantime.

Korvin concentrates, and a murder of spectral ravens flood the skies around the kor. They're not especially dangerous on their own; most of them will just poof away on contact. But they're still large, loud, and distracting; more than enough of a diversion to throw off his aim, in all likelihood. If it works, Korvin will take this opportunity to escape into another building, outside of the kor's reach.

The bandaged man is stopped in the middle of the lobby. He roots his feet on the ground and stays put as Hazel pushes. "God damn it, woman, don't cause a scene where people can see", he mutters through gritted teeth, leaning his chin close to his chest so it's hard to notice he's moving his mouth."I can't pay what they ask and I need a moment to think of something else. We won't find your wife by arguing with hotel staff."

The man narrows one eye. "But you are... know what, nevermind." He straightens up, coughs, and walks out. Once outside, he turns to regard the building. "Hmmm. What to do? Man, I could smoke a cig right now... a real one, don't want any of yours, ghostly stuff does nothing", he blabs as he wracks his brain. "Did you see anything I didn't? Anything on those cameras? Familiar people? Friends? Enemies? Conspicuous empty rooms? I can break in, but I'd rather not, if we can't be reasonably sure she's still there..."

"Oh yeah, the bath. Forgot about the bath", the man muses. He scans the building again, trying to figure out where in it the bath might be. "My intuition says, either the top floors or the basement. But since this is clearly a font for nasty stuff, I'm willing to bet the basement has other uses. So..." He starts circling the building, checking if there's any side of it he could climb up without immediately being noticed.

Anika tits tilts her head as Ilpholin transforms. Her amber colored eyes certainly taking all that in.

    Huh.

"Butt- I mean- uh, I didn't bring any change so maybe I can be like an exotic animal accompanying you? Dancers have stuff like that, right?"

    Mina's Manor

"Wait, so these demons killed the last person that was in your situation? Yikes, your priorities are kinda messed up if your greatest concern is 'craziness' rather than that!" The shadowy figure seems to shake her head underneath all that blackness judging by the movement of her eyes.

Then she makes a speech of all things.

"Look, it sounds like you want some more control am I right? You don't want your life dictated by forces beyond your uh, imagination or whatever. Now this is the part where I'd ask what you want but this path has clearly been set for you and I ain't gonna mess with that. I mean, at this point it has to be pretty obvious that all of this is more than just a coincidence. Since I know exactly your type. You lived a painfully ordinary life and then one day it was as if all the forces of the universe decided to change your life completely. First these demon-slaying dudes, then me, probably a couple of more soon enough. Trust me, you're not the only one that this has happened to. I've helped my fair share of them in fact and what I do know is that you can't stop it.

You just gotta go with the flow and try to steer it in the right direction. So I'm gonna ask this again, in what direction do you want to steer this crazy ride? Since if I know my fate-cursed nobodies regardless if you take my help or not you are going in for more more changes in the near future, completely unrelated to me. Yet here I am now offering you to help you against these demons. If you deny my help they might capture you and change you in even more crazy ways than I could. You might end up as a demon yourself for all I know. The last cow-person I helped did despite my best efforts so consider this a bit more before you make your decision."

"Well, I'd love to know anything at all about these demons, but I don't think that's something you can help with when Sai's bureaucrats don't even know anything besides their timing. And it sounds like you're offering to help but you're not even guaranteeing you can stop more huge stuff happening later." Mina folds her arms.
"Mostly? I want Sai to be who and what he wants to be and not what someone else wants, be that me or his bosses or you. I want to at least get the best benefits of this stupid minotaur thing that I'm stuck with without my life just being a cow joke. And frankly the giant piles of money thing is fine, that can stay. I don't want my mom to stay in that awful little apartment while I'm off doing...all of this but that is a very fixable problem now. And if you do have something to help against demons that isn't going to upend my life like what you did to Emily I'd hear you out at least."
She clearly does not want to simply be zapped without telling her first again.

A notebook and pen appears in the figure's hands as Mina speaks. The umbrella somehow staying in place despite the figures hands being occupied elsewhere.

    "K-n-o-w a-b-o-u-t demons..."

    "Sai to be... uh..."

She seems to be slowing down.

    "Cow joke?"

    "Some mom stuff..."

The sound of the figure scratching her head. "Well, first of all I can't guarantee you won't change more but I can do good changes that make sure you don't get eaten by demons. Always a plus in my book. As for Emily, I didn't upend her life! Just gave her a chance to experience a different part of it. It's all optional you know?

She turns to Sai. "So before we do any of this... you're the Sai guy, right? Since I need to know his opinion on this if I'm gonna do anything."

    Trust-Worthy Hotel

There's no obvious security cameras mounted on the sides of the building, and most of the windows are rather small. Sandals' biggest issue would probably be getting spotted from the ground, though the building's concrete structure might prove tricky to keep a grip on. It's not smooth, but the large concrete panels mean that most edges that can be gripped are quite far apart. If he can grip onto the building's side, he can climb it and probably without being noticed- at least by the building. Outsiders may still spot him- especially if he chooses the front of the building, which is both quite open and also not far from a skydock. The rear has an alleyway which might serve better, however.

    Warehouse --> Outside

Abbi doesn't need encouragement to not look at the halfling's corpse as she follows the others outside. She still shudders as she limps past it, aware of it even though she's trying not to look. The dwarf doesn't seem to care, and looks to deliberately step on the dead body's ankle, which crunches. Abbi gags at the sound.

Outside, there's a minibus. It's quite small, and old bright, psychedelic patterns are just about visible underneath the current white paint coating, with the Guild's emblem of SSG in letters formed from the links of a chain emblazoned on the side. The one-legged man walks over to unlock it and open the door, gesturing for the group to get inside. To encourage them, the blind elf slashes the air behind them with her urumi. The ganger is first on, then the drow, then the dwarf hangs back- until the blind elf expertly slashes her back with the urumi, swinging the other towards Abbi and Hana if they've not got on yet- the dwarf is now hurrying, her back bleeding where the unusual weapon cut her.

    Street of Slavers

Makaru does fire anyway, but he's very distracted and not shooting straight- if it weren't for the fact the alleyways here are basically deserted, he'd not have fired because he'd worried about hitting a civilian, but the only one of those nearby is climbing up a wall with Fifi, who has also handed her a jacket. He can't follow into the building, not when Korvin has just displayed magical powers. His best bet was a pellet to the back of the head, but alas events conspired to make him miss. He'll instead flee, if the crows let him, taking a very confusing route to ensure he's not followed back to the hideout.

The rear alleway side of the hotel is suitable for the bandaged man's purposes. He presses himself close to the concrete surface, feeling it with his fingers. He can just barely reach the first grip-worthy panel edge from the ground. He takes few slow, deep breaths, then half crawls, half pulls himself up in a fast motion, so that he can get the tip of his boot on the first panel edge and throw one hand up to grab the next.

It's not clear if he is using some kind of spiritual power to do this, or if it is a show of great physical strength, agility and skill, but it looks quite inhuman either way. A few times, the man has to stop and hang from a panel with just fingers of his one hand. The routes he has to take to get from window to window are hardly direct - not all panels make for equally good holds. Whenever he gets a chance, he peers inside, trying to find a room reminescent of Mini-Gandalf's divination.

As it happens, Sandals can find a window to a room with a large bath, set into the floor and big enough for two people. It's the top floor, however, so getting there is challenging. They only saw the bath in the scry-drawing, but there's also a toilet, bidet, toilet, and a massage table in the bathroom, and two doors leading away. There's also a pile of black and white cloth heaped next to the bath, with a pair of black plimsol-type shoes set on the edge of the bath as well.

There's a brief pondering from Ilpholin. "Yeah, that could work too. What're you going to be? Hawk? Saber? Saber might be the most exotic. Don't think I've seen or heard of them until I met you."

They aren't common around here, that's for sure.

Dangling outside the window like an overgrown squirrel, the bandaged man peers inside. This looks roughly correct. But he can't spot a way to open the window from his side and it looks difficult to break from his position. So, he figures, since he's almost to the top already, he climbs on the roof and looks around. There ought to be some kind of hatch or door, if only so service personnel can get on the roof when needed.

"She gets to make the big decisions like this. Although." He turns to face said heroine. "I have to advise against this. You're effectively being offered granted wishes. Historically, those have not gone well for the recipient."

Not that any of Mina's requests were actually all that bad. He's just certain they're going to backfire horribly somehow.

Hana, likewise, doesn't need much encouragement to get on the bus. She's even give Abbi a little tug, not wanting to risk her being harmed by a set of wackjobs who clearly didn't care as much as the Guild did about leaving them alive. As the unfortunate halfling proved earlier, defiance here could be fatal. At least she hasn't been cuffed again yet.

Korvin doesn't see any need to follow. Magoo's in SIN's hands now, and as far as they're concerned, it was a rescue, rather than a delivery. As soon as Makaru is gone, he'll find a secluded spot and change out of his disguise, before returning to the bus himself.

Hazel follows him up to the window, producing a grapple and harness system to do it... that's how she'd manage it if she were still corporeal, after all. When they get up there and find the latch locked, she just rolls her eyes, squats against the building, and pushes off, aiming to swing back in to break through the window.

Forgetting for a moment what the more likely outcome would be.

Hazel lets out a surprised yelp as she phases through the glass, tumbling into the room behind it.

"...Dat wohks too." She mutters to herself, standing up and dusting herself off. She goes to unlock the window for Sandels, only to run into the same problem.

Eh, he's a resourceful guy. He'll probably find another way in.

On the roof, there's the top of the elevator shaft, which is housed in a small brick structure. It has a metal door which is closed, but might not be locked. The roof is otherwise littered with other, random pieces of rubbish; there's a rather thick layer or bird droppings around the structure, and nests have been built atop it. There's also a piece of tarpaulin stretched out and held down with chunks of brick. And there's also a skeleton slumped in the corner of the roof, wearing black and white rags.

Inside, Hana finds herself in a bathroom. It's got a massage table, a bath set into the floor, a toilet, bidet, and sink. There's a pile of clothes near the table, looking like the uniforms worn by the maids- Hana might have spotted one whilst in the reception area, or she might recognise a maid uniform. There's also a pair of plimsols on the side of the bath, which were just about visible on the edge of the scry-drawing. Two doors lead away, one of which is open, leading into a reception area. Humming is just about audible from that direction, if Hana's listening.

    Outside

The gladiators join the slaves aboard the vehicle, except the Amazon herself. She's too big, and wouldn't easily fit. She instead sits on a motorcycle, a large one that rumbles to live as she takes off. The minibus, however, is almost silent; it's electric, not relying on a combustion engine for power. The ride is quite smooth, and if Hana checks the door she'll find it doesn't have any way to open from the inside, and the glass in the windows is thick, reinforced with wire. The dwarf drives her elbow into it, but it doesn't break.

Their destination is another building, a warehouse converted into a mix of colosseum and television studio, and the minibus and Amazon are both headed inside. It's possible that someone will intervene, however.

    Street of Slavers

SIN really should find a better headquarters. Magoo would prefer a more secure-looking location than a broken-down old bus hidden in an alleyway.

Hazel kneels next to the maid's outfit, taking a bit longer than usual to guess why that's just sitting in the middle of the floor here. She comes to the somewhat obvious conclusion that it belongs to the ratgirl she saw Hana taking a bath with; she must work here as staff. Social climber, no doubt.

Then her curiosity draws her to the humming. There's someone else here; time to find out who. At least she can spy a little better as an intangible ghost.

The bandaged man facepalms when Hazel's ghost vanishes through the window. How did she manage to climb this far up, only to forget how to interact with solid objects at the very last moment?

Oh well. Which kinds of spiritual manifestations come easy to who is always kind of a toss-up. Hazel's penchant seems to be creation of ectoplasmic objects, provided she does not think too hard about it. Maybe keep that in mind for later.

Seeing that Hazel is now inside, and has a much easier time snooping around than he does, the man decides to take his time before breaking. He spots the skeleton and goes to take a closer look. "Now look at you unfortunate mother fondler. Who did you in?", he mutters, crouching next to the skeleton to better examine it. He also takes a quick look around to see if the ghost of this person is still around. Wouldn't be the first haunted hotel he's encountered.

The humming is coming from the main foyer area of this suite, where a man wearing a white low-cut shirt and black trousers, plus a bronze collar, is repairing a door. He's got plimsols on his feet, and the hand holding the door is marked with the letters TWH overlapping each other; a brand. The door pulls open, but it looks as though somebody tried pushing it open instead- and succeeded, breaking the hinges. The man is unscrewing the old hinges and putting new ones in. The suite's front door is closed, and there's another door leading away from this room. The door he's repairing seems to lead to a cupboard, or maybe a walk-in wardrobe? It looks very small, too small to be much else. There's two sofas and an armchair around a coffee table. Resting on the table is a tray with two plates on it, which seem to have held food; there's bread crumbs and a rocket leaf on one. There's also a small burn in the carpet next to one of the sofas, and some cut black zip ties as well.

There's no ghost on the roof, just the bones. The skeleton's humanoid but not human; a hobgoblin probably- it's not chunky enough to be an orc or bugbear, too tall to be a goblin, but the mouthful of sharp teeth and the occipital ridge suggest a goblinoid, and it has four digits on each hand and foot. It was probably but not definitely male, going by the bones, and in addition to the rags it has a slightly tarnished bronze collar about its neck. The rags are stained with blood on the chest, and there's a cut mark on two of the ribs- they were killed by a thrust to the heart, and just left.

    Outside --> SSGTV Studio

The minibus drives right into the building, stopping in a room just about large enough for it. A large metal shutter is brought down behind them, and the Amazon walks over to the vehicle and opens the door. First letting the driver out, then Hana, Abbi and the other newcomers. "Welcome to the studio. I'm going to show you to your new quarters, then prep you for your first match. If you win, congratulations! You'll get a trip to the store, where you'll make your first selection of prize. Before we begin, any questions?" Most of the newcomers have watched gladiator matches before, so they have some idea of what to expect.

    SIN HQ

They do as they're bid, not that they have much to pack up. The defensive perimeter for Wallowglum, Fifi ensures Sammi's OK and is with them, grabbing for herself the buzzsaw. The cosmic knife and other loot from the Temple of Lead is also claimed, unless Klaus has liquidated the gold ingots. Magoo takes what she can, and follows. She's a little confused by all that's going on.

    Mina’s Manor==> Raven's Lair

"Okay, first of all, most of my wish- uh, blessings have been completely awesome to the persons who asked for them. The problem is that people don't seem to want anything anymore. You offer them the world and they just shrug and walk away, it's so gosh darn frustrating. That's why I have to be so insistent you know? You have to basically drag their desires out of them and that's when things go wrong! If they had just stated what they wanted in the first place then nothing would have happened." She points to Sai, those green eyes forming into a frown. "Probably since they're like you and assume it's all too good to be true."

She seems to clap her hands together underneath the darkness of the floating umbrella. "But anyway, I've learned to accept my mistakes and it would seem I screwed up in your case. However, it's nothing that I can't fix."

The green eyes seem to look at Mina up and down and the figure tilts her head. "Yeah, that should work."

The sound of snapping fingers can be heard and with it reality changes.

Mina and Sai will find themselves somewhere else than the manor. A place neither of them can recognize.
However, Mina will instinctively somehow know how to get out of this place and where the exits are, even exits that includes throwing yourself out of a window.

They are both changed however. Sai is now back to his old form but he's also more as he also extends into the clothing Mina wears. A monk outfit of her favorite color scheme.
Mina is taller and it feels like she's suddenly wearing a pair of shoes, horseshoes (or cowshoes) to be specific, on her hooves. This in combination with the fact that her body equilibrium is different might in fact be enough for her to lose her balance.

"Yeah, I guess they would be pretty rare around here." Anika agrees. "Alright so... what about you ride in on me? That's be a pretty impressive entrance and no one would expect anyone trying to sneak to make such a public entrance!"

    Mina's Manor/Raven's Lair

Mina appears in a mysterious new location! The cream-colored minotaur makes a distressed bovine noise and immediately stumbles, backing into a nearby piece of furniture.
"What- oh hey, Sai. You're back! You feeling better? I...huh." Mina holds up her partner, glad to see he's an actual literal sai again, but in doing so notices that her arm (and of course the rest of her) is bigger than she remembers. Namely, that before she looked like an older version of Tarr, famous child demon-punching heroine of eld. Now, she looks like a famous demon-puncher of eld if someone told the story deciding to completely omit that Tarr was both surprisingly young and fairly slight for a minotaur. This is, of course, probably not going to be a bad thing for a talking weapon that was sincerely hoping for a beefy master to punch demons with him.
"Um. Well. So far nothing bad?" she hesitantly says to him.

[Sorry Boss, but as always, I get the last word.]
