Yeah, I also think that there isn't much time left in-story. Everything that will be happening in Book 7 (the grand finale) will likely happen soon (in in-story time). All the actors are at the final Gate now. And Belkar will probably die in the grand finale at this point, not before like we might have thought many (real-life) years ago.

Of course, in real-life years, there are many years left in the story. And Book 7 might be the size of a phone book :)

Some of them may be potion ingredients.

But it could just be that she's stuck in an arctic snowscape a great deal of the time, and thinks that it's nice to have some plants around. "It was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort."

LOL, even after seeing the reveal, I thought Serini was Belkar. Clearly the combination of halfling and sarcasm tricked me :D

I got as far as "does that mean Serini is Belkar from the future, using the belt of gender swapping" before I decided to come and find the answer in the forum. But I'm pleased to see that others have wondered if there's a resemblance.

Since we're all chucking out our epileptic trees: I think a member of the Holey Brotherhood is Orange Voice. Specifically, the one we met before in the crayons of time.

I have absolutely nothing to back this up. But they have only been in 1 page.

But you know what is orange(-ish)? Pineapples. And so I posit that orange voice is actually Baron Pineapple.

I had assumed that the plants were of the smell-absorbing variety, given that she brews where she sleeps.

Certainly the middle one over her bed looks like a spider plant, which is popular in bathrooms in the real world for that reason.

Well magic is a thing, but she's not exactly a caster I guess...

Being a rogue, she quite possibly maxed out her use magic device skill. And maybe took a few feats or prestige classes to boost it.

someone pointed out the fact, earlier in the thread, that blackwing was still outside. why do i feel like this is somehow a very relevant point? blackwing can be dismissed and resummoned easily, no? that blackwing somehow saves the day, because they are so often easily ignored and very much still a part of the party.

She's guarding the last gate holding reality together (well, not exactly, but you get my point). People who have destroyed the other Gates are now at hers. That line was simple negativity, like Kenobi saying, "I have a bad feeling about this" in A New Hope.
