As for the comics itself: I find it interesting that Mechanicsburg was a refugee for all kinds of monsters. As mad and bloodthirsty Heterodynes were they seemed to be quite liberal toward constructs and such. The same most likely applied to all citizens, which would explain the extreme loyalty toward Heterodynes. Well... aside from the fact that those who did not listen to master's orders did not last long.

Finally, just how mad did Paracleezeus have to be to be considered mad by Heterodyne standards? That's like being a foul-mouthed longshoreman, or a carny with lots of tattoos, or a nerdy software engineer.

I'm not 100% sure he is meant to be an heterodyne. Going by the name, he sounds like the GG-universe equivalent of Paracelsus.

OK, but even if Paracleezus is not a Heterodyne, they lived in Mechanicsburg, so the standards for being considered even mildly eccentric are pretty demanding.

I would support breaking from the normal “Girl Genius XXX: Witty Subtitle” format and just going with “Girl Genius: XXXenophile Edition” in honor of this rare event, but whatever works. I think “Girl Genius XXX: XXXenophile Edition” is kind of redundant and clunky.

Though I will say that “Girl Genius XXXenophile Edition: (further innuendo in the subtitle)” has some merit as well. I’m reserving judgment on what the subtitle should be, though, because I know somebody is about to make a brilliant suggestion.

No no, you see, the butcher who founded it was named Augustin Used (pronounced "You-said"), and it has been around for generations. It's a heritage site, you know.

Alternatively, it's just a shop that sells scraps of meat and bones leftover from the butchering process for raw material and entertaining puppies.

"The Mad" was likely a title given to him before he visited Mechanicsburg. I'd guess he's based off of Paracelsus, who wasn't mad but would definitely be a spark in this world.

As far as I remember, years ago they commented that they would come back to more adult-oriented works once The Experiments have grown enough. Not quite sure, when would that be or if they changed their plans in the meantime.

Uh no, they destroyed the neighbourhood because of the people living in it. Like he said, the Boys counted them among their predecessors' abominations (and you know, fair) and were surprised to discover the townsfolk actually cared for them. He even admits it wasn't entirely unwarrented*.

*And I doubt his ability to be objective about it.

Jorbelox sounds like an absolute beast (no pun intended) for a monster. Confronted by the Heterodyne Boys and an indeterminate number of Jagers, and he breaks Bill's arm, kills 6 Jagers and survives to escape? He just shot to the top of the list of ridiculous combat entities.

Yeah its becoming clear that the be boys were determined to be as opposite the old heterodynes as possible, and it wouldnt surprise me to learn that it was ONLY the long loyalty to the heterodynes that kept mechanicsburg from killing them or abandoning them. I hope agatha realizes this and is able to moderate her heroism. So far so good, she isnt a violent world destroying monster, but she goes on her rants, she unleashes the jeagers, and she utterly destroys anyone stupid enough to threaten HER TOWN. Im sure they wont mind putting up with her good deed tendency in exchange.

Yeah, if a monster admits that the action wasn't "entirely unwarranted" and mentions that things that happened there were "beyond horrible", you have something on your hands that any sane person would probably want to burn to the ground and thoroughly salt the ashes, just in case...

I'm guessing that by that point the Boys's resolve were shaken by the townsfolk's willingness to protect the other monsters and they may not have fought him as hard as they otherwise could have. Unless they were in the madness place in which case anything goes.
