Since your traveling partner is not a talker, you can make a survival or history check to know how far it is to candle keep.

You think it's about 12 hours of travel time, you could push and arrive late that day, at the risk of some exhaustion, or mid day tomorrow with normal travel

On the one hand, Patricia is eager to arrive, but on the other hand, she doesnít want to SEEM eager, and also itíd feel bad to overexert this particular horse I think.

Hah, yeah, I was gonna say something like "we arrive completely wiped out from carrying a horse all day"

I will leave it up to you to describe as much of the day as you want. Otherwise we can move on to arrival day.

Indeed, I think our bawdy songs will provide just the traveling montage music video we need.

Sorry, and good call. I could come up with something to say but I'm eager to get on to the investigation part of the game.

If it's just a friendly game we can just rp it, other wise. If it is for money, set stakes and roll 1d20+int (it seems int based, but chance always has some effect)

No need to drag it out - just thought it would be a nice detail about the Watcher training

Are there other buildings outside the walls? Like is The Hearth an inn that doesnít require admission to the Library itself? Or something like that? If itís not apparent, Patricia may ask in character as well.

You can ask IC as well, but yes there are other buildings inside. They are only for those who are allowed entry. I was going to make a post answering Kynos tonight

edit: whoops, saw outside. There are several travelers, and a few temporary stalls set up, but no buildings outside the walls.

I would have just had the acolyte come back in that post, but I wanted to give Patricia a chance to go full Karen if she wants.

Oh, I'm good without just yet. Is the one donation going to work for the set of us? Or should we all present our things?

Oh ok, cool. "Patricia" has her forgery but if it may not be needed, all the better. Who knows, maybe I'll find another use for my rare 1st edition of History of the Creator Races.

If the PCs don't have any more song requests do the guards? I figure one song doesn't really fill a whole hour.

Kynos will help her out if she tells him.

(Or she could ask to play for room and food)

Free dorm style rooms are available, but I was just interested in what Runa was up to in the two hours that Kynos and Patricia were gone. Did you have a table? Did you make small talk with the tavern folk? Just trying to the set the stage for the next phase in the adventure.

Hadn't registered to me that they were gone for two hours. Yeah she'd definitely do something in that time.

    Nice image.

Agreed! Though I admit some disappointment that it doesn't match up with the start of the original Baldur's Gate

Anything interesting a passive Perception check shows Eleazar while he's hanging out? Or Runa, for that matter, since it won't take all her concentration to play a few tunes.

I will make a post in just a bit recapping the time spent in the bar. I have been using passive perception to point out anything out of the ordinary, usually in spoilers, for you to share if you wish.

I just got a PM from someone that was in the recruitment thread, they are liking our RP and were interested in being added as a 5th character. What do you guys think?
