    Default Casters dying end spell?

    If a caster dies, does it end the spell?

    Even more complicated, if a Lich "dies", does it end his spells?

    I don't believe that the spell would end unless it required concentration.

    Vva's right; the spell stays in effect for its normal duration after the caster dies and then expires.

    Although I've played with a LOT of DMs who will houserule otherwise, the above two posters are correct.
