I think my ideal perfect world would be one where I have access to forests, beaches, and other natural environments in a way that's safe, don't have to interact with people in person if I don't have to, and have the freedom to pursue education indefinitely on my own terms with no pressure.

I'll second that - its sounds great. To be able to quickly, and easily spend time in a forest, at the beach, or at a mountain would make life so much better. I suggest a teleport device in the house/backyard that is linked to an assortment of semi-isolated locations.

Hope you're feelin' alright tomorrow. I got lucky and didn't have anything too bad, but I was still super sleepy the day after my second shot. To the point I regretted not scheduling PTO because of how badly i just wanted a nap.

Cold medicine, maybe it's just a UK thing? It's mostly painkillers like paracetamol if I'm remembering correctly, but unlike other cold medicines you get here it's taken as a hot drink.

Tastes of lemon and is of course not drunk in one go, which I've always assumed is where the name comes from.

A flee market that comes to town every year was open, surprisingly, so my mother, brother, and stepfather went because you can always find some decent stuff there. Mostly snacks or trinkets.

I did not go because... Honestly, I didn't want to. for various reasons

Mother brought me back a brick of peanut butter fudge though... And this is some good stuff.

Relatively mild flavor, great texture, it's not too sweet but it's rich enough that you'd probably regret eating more than a little bit of it at a time.

According to the label on the box it's made not too far from here.

On the other hand I remembered, as I'd been planning to send a Jonathan Coultan (in sure I've misspelled his name) song to my polycule for weeks.

I'm now planning how I'm going to lay out my new flat. Sadly there's a rounded corner, meaning it's options are pretty much limited to 'TV', and therefore I have to work out where to put a sofa without infringing on either dining or office space.

Pet Peeve: People decide to have a tree 'trimmed' and end up not only cutting off healthy branches but just end up stripping the tree completely so that there are no branches left.

If you're gonna do that just cut the damn thing down, it's gonna die anyway.

It's called "Pollarding" and I agree it looks horrid, but the tree won't usually die, it sprouts lots and lots of small branches, it was initially done to willows to get withies for basketwork, now it's done because (idiots) like the look.

Oh, I wasn't commenting on the practice (sounds as cruel as clipping a cat's claws), more on the general nature of how weird and subjective beauty is. Also how I'm getting kind of sad that I had to remain indoors for most of winter, and thus missed out on most of the leafless tree season.

Actually trees can usually be surprisoglngly hardy and come back from that, so long as they were healthy before. That would look incredibly ugly, though.
