One fun thing about being geninely very unwell is that sometimes you get to experience yourself at the most delirious.

Last night I had convinced myself my 2litre water bottle was full of helpful ice children who would protect me, and that I wold protect them/ Also I spoke exclusively in a Russian accent, up until the point I noticed what time it is after which I immediately switched to Canadian for a "god ****ing damnit" before slipping back into Russian.

A few years ago, when I had my massive blood clot but thought it was just a cramp, I was laying in bed, having woken up in the middle of the night, and I swear to god my leg had transformed into a fortress and a bunch of little tiny soldiers were on my bed laying siege to it and shooting holes into the fortress hurt like hell but they needed to get in and kill whatever was inside or the world would be destroyed.

Granted, I tend towards delirium in general when I first wake up, especially when I didn't sleep well, but in hindsight I'm wondering if that wasn't something I should have told the doctors. (Though considering I told the doctors that I was willing to consider amputation, they might have gotten the point.)

I'm not, not really.

Due to a variety of factors, likely mostly just my Kidney ****ing up, the past three weeks have been me with super dry and stickymouth, unable to generate saliva, that slowly spread to my fingers, hands, arms, feet, nose, ears and eyes. It has made sleeping almost impossible, waking up every hour on the hour to windmill slam water into my face until I'm capable of swallowing and breathing without pain. Having a big water with me in my bed will help with my body waking p since I don't have to activate all my limbs, I just grab the bottle and go.

Oh also it goes without saying but I've been throwing up a fair bit here and there, and am having a hard time processing food.

Last week yeah, she said to monitor if it gets better or worse, it's probably related to diabetes. Then we got an appointment for Friday, so presuming I live I'll be seeing her then.

Pick, I've never been anywhere close to that sick. I hope that your local health service is outstanding without even spending s penny, and wish you a speedy recovery to the 'but entertaining others' stages.


I just reorganised my bookshelves, and I'm still not happy with how the games are. Maybe I'll try doing it by company rather than theme, but to stop myself sorry the entire day reorganising I'll do it tomorrow.

If I was gonna take a crack at it...

I do not recall a single instance of Bugs expressing attraction to a female character prior to the introduction of Lola Bunny in the 90s.

I do recall plenty of examples of Bugs kissing or flirting with other male characters across decades, both when disguised as a woman and not.

You could probably put Bugs in a list of LGBT characters without raising many brows. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't already on a couple.

There's also the note that they could have just... Stopped doing the cross-dressing because that kind of joking is considered overly offensive now, but instead, they made the deliberate choice to reframe the action in a different context...

If you want to take a meta-viewpoint, Tiny Toon Adventures had an episode establishing that Bugs Bunny was decades-old(Over fifty at the time the episode was made, which was roughly 50 years from his first appearance in his finalized form) but was kept in the prime o his health and youth because, as a cartoon character, the laughter of his audience literally sustained him.

So looking at it from a metafictional perspective, one could argue that Bugs has literally been alive all this time but at the same time has been kept young enough that he's more able to change and grow than the average person of his actual age(he'd be pushing 80 by now) and Loony Tunes: Back In Action has someone explain to him that his cross-dressing bit wasn't funny anymore and was no kind of offensive.

So, if we look at him in the light of being a single continuous character instead of a series of adaptions, the perhaps he thought about it and... Realized something about himself? There would have been eight years, and even for an eternally youthful cartoon that's a long time.

...Or I'm just overthinking things.

I was about to say, that sounds much like the time I was in the ICU because I managed to be severely dehydrated without knowing it, and with severely high blood sugar because the dehydration meant my blood sugar monitor was grossly underreporting what my blood sugar was so I wasn't taking insulin to counteract it....Well, except I couldn't drink water without throwing it up soon thereafter, so it sounds like you're doing better than I was; hope it stays that way!

In my sophomore year of high school, a classmate, assuming that I'd never seen Animaniacs,, described Pinky & The Brain as "if [I] were trying to take over the world with [classmate] as [my] sidekick."

Now, to explain: Candy is male. His voice actor is a man, all the other aliens use male pronouns and adjectives when talking to aar about him. But Candy is also the only one shown doing any housechore (like cleaning up, doing the dishes, cooking, washing/ironing clothes, etc) and he regularly calls out the others on their lack of hygiene and tidiness. And about being slobs who watch the TV all day . Candy is also the most sensitive of the bunch, the most prone to breaking into tears when something goes wrong, he's also the most likely charcater to to try to mend relations between two others. Candy also like cute things, pink things and everything that's usually called "girly".

Ten-year-old me, and I was far from an isolated case, was convinced that Candy was a girl. And when I realized he was a boy, seriously confused.

It should also be noted that when they use their machine to disguise themselves as humans, Candy often (though not always) turns into a girl while the others prefer to turn into male humans (pretty sure they've all been girls at some point though).

In my fact most discussions about that character seems to be people arguing whether he's a girl or a boy and, in the last case whether he's gay or not.

Okay, to be more serious, from your description I'd actually guess at female or genderqueer, based entirely on preferring to disguise themself as a girl. Sexuality uncertain, because not speaking French and only knowing it's generated because I know people who do, eh maybe there's some college work about how stereotypically gay people speak that I wouldn't pick up on.

But from what you've said arguing about their sexuality sounds weird, there's not the slightest hint to go on. For all I know these aliens are monogendered. Or have more than three biological sexes. Or are sequential hermaphrodites or any of the other weird and wonderful things nature has come up with just on this planet.

I'm not sure what you mean by "generated" and "college works". As for the sexuality, I don't remember Candy showing interest in anyone (but I may be wrong, it has been a very long time since I've actually watched the show), so there's a good chance it's just the "girly" interests making people go "GAYYYYYYYY!" You know the kind.
