Oooh some combat! It'll be interestin to see if Elan's gotten any better. Also will V be able to cast any spells having not "slept" in a very long time?

Oh Elan, why must you be so...Elanish?

Though V raises a good point about the Gate, I'm surprised Roy didn't tell everyone where they were going.

I totally love that bard! I seriously doubt that V have any other spell beside the scry one. I’m also wondering how long will we wait until find out about Hayle and Belkar. Great one Giant and thanks for giving us so many updates this week.

Poor Elan. His little speech about sticking together made me raise his Wisdom a few points... but not saying something about the sea trolls made me lower it back to normal.

Am I the only one who notices somthing wrong with the whole

"Ive just developed a high level divination spell that can pinpoint any location or person just by a name, but alas it was useless because it couldn't help us find the guy who knew where this gate was."

Although I suppose Epic level magic stopped him finding Hayley, Epic level magic could stop him finding the gate.

Also Go Daigo! Katana that troll for 1d10 damage! At this rate if you hit every time and the troll misses every time you should be able to beat him in the next 10 minutes and 36 seconds!

    From the Giant himself:

"And once I "zero out" my late comic balance, any additional comics beyond three that I do in any given week will go into a hypothetical buffer to guard against future absences. Or at least, that's the plan. We'll see how it plays out in reality."

I'm guessing it was Kubota plan. Elan Elan Elan.....Thats about all I can say without using insult. Seriously Elan, you should ask V to cast owl wisdom on you each morning, it would help a lot.

Go random encounters! also, it may be harder to pinpoint the gate if he's never seen it. also, if you saw a picture somone took of somthing in a location you've never seen, could you give mapquest directions to it? It seems highly unlikely that the gate is not protected by either screen or teleport lock.

You know, I now have to wonder why the OOTS is still with the AC fleet? They all think finding the gate is important, and know that Hinjo is oath bound not to interfere with it, and both Durkon and V want to go find it (Elan wants to be a bodyguard for the time being I guess, but I don't know where that falls in his priorities list). The best way to go about that is either to get back to AC regardless of the army and look for the rest of the order, or go get to the Western Continent and look for rumors -- but staying with a fleet lead by a man who is bound not to help the gate and won't return to AC seems like exactly the wrong thing to be doing. Are both Durkon and V so at odds with each other's strategy that they are willing to be totally paralyzed?
