My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
I haven't watched wrestling since 2009 and I just started to watch modern wrestling a few Youtube videos a few months ago. To be honest today modern wrestling is straight garbage compare to old-school vintage wrestling. Modern wrestling where many old-time favorite wrestlers such as The Undertaker, Kane is retired and other wrestler is getting old where younger wrestlers trying to make their reputation legendary and the storyline is so horrible to make it entertaining. I know times have evolved and changed especially in the wrestling industry but I just wish if wrestling should have better storylines just like vintage wrestling then it will be entertaining again. Those are my thoughts on modern wrestling.

Re: My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
Meh, I agree, I stopped watching towards the end of the attitude era. I got into it watching hulk hogan slam andre the giant in wrestlemania 3 and was a fan from then on, but the end of the stone cold era was where it started getting boring to me. I didnt care about the characters, didnt care about the storylines. It just wasnt fun to watch for me anymore. I hadnt believed the storylines since the Mega Powers broke up, but I still enjoyed the soap opera quality of the feuds and backstage politics and whatnot, but after the attitude era it felt flat and boring.

Not really related, but I saw this artwork Wrestlers in Action (reposted tongue-in-cheek by the Roswell Museum and Art center ) , and hoped the readers of this thread would find it amusing.

Re: My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
Close. A four-year-old. If you look closely, it was drawn on a closet door with crayola crayon. The parents are artistic professionals, however, (or, at least, know someone who is) and framed it with commentary as if it were a real piece.
The funny thing is, if it WERE put up at auction I'll wager it'd get a good price.

Re: My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
No, I don't think this child has any effort to make his drawing look good. Even my older brother can draw better than this child and he's 48 years old. I'm not the most artistic member in this forum but I'm a judge of character or even a critic to tell that this artwork is pure trash.

Re: My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
This is a 4-year old child that you are criticizing, a pre-schooler, not an art student, nor anyone with training or experience. They shouldn't be expected to put effort into making anything great at that age. It's unfair calling something they have done trash.
I certainly hope that your brother can draw better than a four year old! What did he draw like when he was four? (You don't need to answer that.)

Re: My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
Well, I'm not sorry for criticizing the kid's artwork. I make no apology for that. If I truly see something that doesn't appeal to me, I'm going to be very honest and speak my mind about how I feel about it. I'm not going sit here and lie and say "Good drawing. You deserve a gold medal." No, I'm going to do that. I'm going, to tell the truth, even if the truth hurts.

Re: My Thoughts On Modern Wrestling
Meanwhile prestigious modern museums exhibit real life faeces as art.
Yes. Am starting see why Bartmanhomer has trouble getting anyone to care about the reviews.
We are all here because we are fans of a stick figure comic that in many places would be dismissed because it's not proper art. We should not be throwing those stones ourselves.Last edited by snowblizz; 2021-04-17 at 04:58 AM.
