    Question Warehouse 13 RP

    Would anyone be interested?

If so, PLEASE DO NOT CLONE CANON CHARACTERS!!

Artie is running the B&B with the help of Leena's ghost. Pete and Myka are retired and have a child on the way. Pete's mom is still a Regent, Mrs. Frederic is still running things and being as spooky as ever, and Claudia is still the Warehouse techno-genius.
The Warehouse day-to-day is run by JOSIAH COLQUHOUN(kull-HOON), a former factory worker who owns and moderates a FICTIONAL conspiracy theory webforum called WeAreNotSheep. He occasionally gets cases from some of the threads therein. Josiah is 40-ish, curmudgeonly, and played by the DM.

    Your skillset, however, is USEFUL.
Maybe languages most obscure...maybe obscure puzzles...maybe totally random, obscure, useless trivia that somehowl always provides the key clue in the crunch...maybe you somehowl got involved with an Artefact...

We would wind up using a "turn-based" post system. For example:
    1) DM posts
    2) Player A replies
    3) Player B posts
    4) Player C posts
    5) Repeat

In certain situations, we would resort to a sort of basic D&D dice system of d20 rolls with situational modifiers. For example:
Players are in a room. DM states there is a statuette in a complete Indian Jones rip-off set-up. Character of Players A/C has seen that series of films multiple MULTIPLE times...Character B hasn't(because of reasons)... Character C has obsessed over every single trap in every single movie clip on YouTube, as well.
--in this sort of situation, Player B (who is in front of said statuette) has a -2 to their Wisdom score, while A/C have a +2. C has a further +5 to their roll to figure the entire thing out.

Ah, Warehouse 13, the good old days when Syfy was still Sci-Fi. I used to watch shows like Eureka, Warehouse 13, Haven - actually, just those three.

Are you using "Wisdom score" here as an actual attribute, or just a comparison?

We could go the route of have a certain number of personality traits or skills for each character if we're doing a bare-bones system, though I might prefer the game being a bit more structured.

I would love a real system , Gurps, mutants and masterminds or even fate but a real system would make this better

I would be in for this if we find a system to work on and enough people open to the play style.

    We could use d20 modern?

I'm thinking of: Professor Bradley Stephenson. The professor is a historian and archivist. He grew up among Golden Dawn and always found himself drawn to esoteric lore and artifacts. He was recruited to research new artifacts and document long lost ones as well.
