Deadlands Pinkerton build help please

Hey I'm starting a new Deadlands Classic game (never played) and was wondering what books i need for an agent (Pinkerton style)? Heard Law Dogs is more for mystical gunslingers, is that right? Probably leaning towards mundane gunslinger detective for first character, any ideas?

While Law Dogs does have additional options for hexslingin', it's useful for mundane gunslingers too, I find.

Mind you, the actual Pinkertons were tetchy about Pinnacle using them in the game, so you may want to look for "The Agency" sourcebook as well.

I'd say you're OK in this subforum here since Deadlands would count as "other systems".
