monster hunt

I'm looking for a list of monsters that have access to charm monster or something similar (ie able to take control of a monster and have it act on its own)

Is there a list somewhere? or ways to get said list?

Looking for a monster round about CR 7 if it helps

Which edition/ system?
3.5e? Pathfinder 1? Parhfinder 2?

Also- Are there any other indicators/ limits? By creature type? Allowed/ disallowed sources?

If its for 3.5e some ideas from the top of my head:
- Lamia
- Aboleth
- Succubus/ Erinyes
- Nymph
- Formian task master
- Possibly some nagas with the right spells

pref not monster manual 4 (as I haven't got that book)
most other books allowable (forgotten realms setting)

as for other indicators, I was thinking about something like a beholder, but at top of head thats cr 13.
Basically, the scenario is that big dribbly is using others to kill maim burn and generally create havoc. Party has to track down the source and put a stop to it

From what you describe, most of them would fit the bill (The formian probablu not, and Nymph only for a good in- world reason)

Red Ethergaunts (Fiend Folio, CR9) have a Supernatural Ability called Enslave, allowing them to Dominate one creature per point of Charisma bonus.

Deepspawn (Monsters of Faerun, CR8) can produce servile clones of any Material Plane creature they eat.
