Any test lifts show that while the sarcophagi lids are heavy, they aren't impossibly so. The lack of immediate time pressure means by spending a while trying, or working together, you can get them open. However, note that which side you open it from is important. (OOC: Please update the battle map according to your position as you post here.)

Your first attempt to get the lid open is unsuccessful, but and teamwork and a few more tries let you succeed. Inside, you find that it's empty. It's adorned with the same sort of writing as the outside in a different color, but that's it.

As Vuthan approaches the other side of the room, he can see more of the shining dome. It's clearly trying to depict something, but he gets interrupted before he gets close enough to tell what, as going further activated the magic in the sarcophagi.
Those looking at the open sarcophagi see the glow of conjuration magic wring a skeleton wielding a longsword into existence. Concussive bangs sound throughout the crypt as the rest of lids slam open to reveal similar skeletons. The one appearing out of the nearest crypt chooses to make why it has a sword clear by swinging it at Sarathi, bones clicking as it moves. She blocks that slash as her armor blocks another from the skeleton behind her.
Skeletons from the other nearby sarcophagi move to surround Zishu and Elmo, landing slash after slash as they do. The ones in the eastern half of the room crowd around Vuthan. He blocks most of their cuts, but the one that lands is hard to ignore.

Starting positions for the battle determined by slightly adjusting the existing battle map. The lower halves of the sarcophagi are rather low, being about the height of a single stair. As a result, the open sarcophagi are only an obstacle to your movement while you're running, if you walk or shift they do not impede you.
S6's Turn:

Elmo's holy symbol sparks with light as he is surprised by the armed skeletons. The third slash is deflected by the holy light and a bright aura surrounds Sarathi. Elmo raises the holy symbol and takes a deep breath, calling out "To hell with you!" The light becomes blinding, and the nearby foes are pushed back and staggered by the holy radiance.

With the worst of the swarm cleared out, Sarathi focused on the enemies closest to her friends.

With no thoughts of their own safety, the two remaining skeletons continue to advance. Both of them confidently walk forwards, giving Zishu an opening to attack the one to the north. One lands a slash that just barely draws Vuthan's blood, the other tries to follow up but finds their blade blocked by his shield.

Vuthan's Goliath endurance helps mitigate the force of the Skeleton's blow, keeping him from becoming bloodied.
"These two look sturdier than the rest." Vuthan brings his blade to bear against the Skeleton that marked him and which can reach his allies.

Drang, Vuthan, and Sarathi crush the final two skeletons and press on to the real threat, deep within the Keep on the Shadowfell. Overconfident in his defenses, the villain dies painfully and the world (or this small piece of it) has been saved.
Drang, Sarathi, and Vuthan then gather the unimaginably large amount of treasure and ride off into the sunset.
