They're stacked on pLlets in my driveway, I'm moving them into the garage for temporary storage out of the elements. Gonna park my car outside for a little, which I'm not thrilled about, but shouldn't be too bad.

Hmm, probably doesn't involve a dragon-sized trampoline if it can't withstand the elements. Unless it's also a dragon-sized garage, to fit a dragon-sized car; but parking a vehicle that size outside would likely annoy neighbors. Unless...dragon-sized neighbors?

There are always more background investigations! I have a (quite long) list of previous addresses for such occasions, though I haven't been asked to give contact information for neighbors in a while (probably for the best - I don't usually get to know them).

ION: I finally located (and purchased) a physical copy of Phantasy Star today, which means I finally have hard copies of the whole original Phantasy Star series! I brushed the dust off of my Master System and have been playing that basically all evening.

Every year I forget how boring the preseason/HOF game is. It was cool seeing who got inducted into the hall this year though. They announced them a while ago but I never looked to see who was going into the hall. Peyton and Megatron were no brainers, and it’s nice Drew Pearson finally got in. There's an XKCD comic called "Active Ingredients Only" that is just a picture of a box for a cold medicine that is advertised as having no inactive ingredients and no binders with the tagline "we're not here to waste your time."

The rollover text goes on to say "Contains the active ingredients from all competing cold medicines, plus the medicines for headaches, arthritis, insomnia, indigestion, and more, because who wants THOSE things?"

I can't help but think that such a drug, if somehow compressed into a pill without binding agents or filler, would, assuming it has a therapeutic dose of all active ingredients, be the size of a tangelo and probably kill you if you somehow managed to swallow it.

I understand that this is probably the joke, but still.

As far as I can tell, they can only spread human-infectious diseases if they were just recently on top of something carrying it, and they evolved to eat waste products and garbage.

It is pretty much impossible for humans to kill them by accident.

In other words, they evolved to perfectly coexist with humans...

But they look icky and are inconvenient in modern homes, especially in large numbers, so our instinct is to try and destroy them.

Crabs, as far as we know, are not sapient.

Dragons often are.

I personally would find the loss of sapience to be a bit of a downgrade.

Keep in mind that my current plan for becoming a dragon involves tearing a hole in the fabric of reality, traveling to a fictional universe, injecting myself with the stolen blood of two supervillains, two people who are generally thought of as villains but are kind of all over the place, and one anti-hero, a process that could do anything from turn me into a dragon outright to turn me into a Shoggoth to turn me into a minor deity depending on how the different bloods interact to each other and my own biology.

Then, if the results are favorable and don't turn me into a dragon outright, committing a hell of a lot of alien-cannibalism.

Subverting nature and Jekyll and Hyde stuff is... Look, we're long past that. All such risks are either something I deam acceptable or something mitigated by the specific details of the plan.

I considered crabdragons, but looking at them all known varieties of crabdragon tend to sacrifice aspects of being a dragon in favor of crab aspects.

They range from giant monstrous crabs with dragonlike traits to dragons with crab-limbs replacing two or more of the dragon's limbs.

there's one that looked like a proper mix of crab and dragon, but it also looked kind of... Funky.

Separate crab and dragon forms would be preferable, I think.
