My brother and his wife got confused about which fay their plane back home was booked so I am going to have to babysit my niece all day tomorrow.

On the one hand that kid is adorable but on the other hand four-(and-a-half-)year olds require near-constant supervision and I had planned for some me-time tomorrow.

Nahh, as parent of two boys I can tell you that 2 year old needs constant supervision, but 4 year old is quite selfsufficient, although what you need is another 4 year old, becouse when there is 2 of them it's less of the problem then when there is only 1 : p

Well, I'm going to take her to see the Paw Patrol movie, then ice-cream and then the park and hopefully it'll be around that time that her parents will be there.

Sproglets are trouble at any age no, that is not my biological clock speaking because none of my partners are anywhere as near the kids phase as I am, I have no idea where you got that from.

Honestly, a four year old mostly needs something to do and somebody to come running if something happens or be interested in what they're doing. But I'm rubbish with kids, it's why I never seriously considered becoming a teacher.

It's alright. I got back to making my thesis just this week, boy it's actually way more mentally tiring than I had originally thought. Doing it part time though, which was a smart decision for my mental health. Been too exhausted for D&D but hoping to get back with my group soon. How is the life of DataNinja??

Life is good! Probably way too many new things to mention them all. My collection of musical instruments and old video game consoles has expanded (and I've also gone off the deep end into Magic: the Gathering, RIP all spending money). The past ~18 months or so has been as turbulent as it has for everyone, I suspect.

How are you? What are you up to these days (if there has been time for non-thesis activities)?
