It's Sparkles knowledge as a healer that actually leads the way as his understanding of triage helps him define where each charge most needs to go at a given point. Sprawl gets three taps from the wand, and Tramp gets two. By the time that is done, they both still have light wounds (~92% health for Sprawl, and ~96% health for Tramp). Do you top them off anyway, considering the dark work ahead, or reserve Selkie's magic wand, which is not rechargeable?

It turns out that Sparkles is the best one to follow the track, though Selkie talks a good game, but at least he's a good assistant.
    Spoiler: Sparkles
    Show
Selkie actually has no formal training in survivalism in general, but he shows skill at surviving onboard the ship, and does seem to have a good sense of following tracks in general ... and yet no actual survival training proper.
Sparkles follows the difficult track through the fields, followed by Selkie, Tramp, and Sprawl in the back. Which is good, considering the cornfield has grown to over 8 feet in height and provides concealment for those within it, reducing visibility to 5 feet.

In several places, there are erected scarecrows topped with the heads of dead sailors as a warning. Some eight heads litter the fields next to the main path, each impaled on a crude staff 6 to 9 feet high. These rotting heads are now infested with flies which swarm around the heads in ugly black clouds.

Does anyone mess with one of these heads, or leave them alone?

You pass uneventfully through the old cornfields south to the shore, and then moving west towards the southern most tip of the island known as Riptide Cove.

It is dark now, the sun has disappeared. There are moon and stars, but that is dim light ... and only for the two people with low-light vision. For another, they can see in the dark. To poor Sprawl, however, it is not usable light. What do you do?

The sky in a broad area around Tramp glows above you with the wrath of nature itself, lightning arcing between and clouds and thundering to the ground at her command.

The party moves along what makes itself apparent is a trail leading to high cliffs that surround a deep cove churning with dark seawater. The cliffs around the cove vary in height from 40 to 80 feet. Selkie tells the group that the cove's dark waters indicate the absence of rock's below the surface. So, what do you do?

The group looks on as Sparkles drops the very full height of the dive completely artlessly and slams into the water for 17 + 6 NL!

Selkie looks at everyone ... "I thought we were going to climb down part-"

And then Tramp jumps in, but she has magic to allow her to descend into the water without pain.

"So, I don't know about you, but I'm climbing down a bit before jumping in," Selkie says to Sprawl.

Before Sprawl can answer, there are multiple chittering sounds in cliffs above you, and lots little tiny things flying out of a cave.
