Default Network Protocol Error on Post

I replied to a thread and got a Network Protocol Error instead of the usual success page.
On hitting resend I then got a message that I had attempted to make a duplicate post (well done the software for stopping it).
I then spotted some typos in my post and edited it (twice) - both edits also took me to a Network Protocol Error page.

Edit: submitting this did not so I hope the problem has resolved itself.
Edit 2: Neither did editing it - I think you can safely ignore this.

I've had this happen at times as well. Mostly it's just one time and then it's over, so it's probably a hick-up in the connection somewhere. A few packages of data that didn't arrive correctly and your browser or the server throwing a fit over that.

That would make sense - I also had one this morning loading a page, but then there are telcom engineers replacing telegraph poles near me and they might have disturbed something in the cabinet (I know the cable to me goes past where they were but I am pretty confident it's not along the aerial lines)

    Thank-you.

It happens to me sometimes, too, sometimes when fetching a page and sometimes when submitting a post. When it's on submitting a post, I always copy what I wrote to the clipboard and reload to see if it's there, but it almost always is.
