I'm pretty sure this refers to hitting things with a sword (aka Roy), but I don't think he's saying it about himself. I thought maybe Julia said it derogatorily to him in Cliffport, but that doesn't seem the case. The other likely options are Belkar or Eugene. It strikes me as more of a Belkar quip, but Eugene might be more likely to complain about the 6 years of schooling (presumably paid for by him).

None of those are directly related to the previous six years of school. One could also argue that Larry Gardener isn't explicitly said to have been in school for six years. For all we know, Warthog could have started wanting to kill him one year (or book) before or after Larry entered the school.
