Re: D&D Subclass Contest XXV Voting Thread
I guess I'll go first. My #1 pick is Ley Line Sorcerer, #2 is Dwarven Defender and #3 is the Bunker Buster ranger. It was tough to choose between 2 and 3, and sengmeng's spartan was a close fourth for me, but I don't think any of them can beat the sorcerer's overall combination of balance, playability and theme.
Can I abstain on the theme vote?Lydia Seaspray by Oneris!

1. School of Fish
2. Ley Line
3. Dwarven Defender
1. It's Technical
2. Make a Choice
Definitely a strong field overall! I appreciate a good pun just as much as good homebrew, though, which gives the School of Fish an edge for me.

3. The Indomitable Patron Warlock
1. Warriors of Old
2. Calling Card*It isn't realism, it's verisimilitude... seeming to be true within the context of the game world.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest XXV Voting Thread
Contest votes:
1. Bunker Buster -- strong thematically and mechanically, looks fun to play as. Lots of tactical potential and creative thinking involved in playing it, without being too complicated or op. Strikes a nice balance.
2. Ley Line -- nice and simple with some interesting and on-theme mechanics, I like it.
3. The name pains me, but... Path of the Crimson Diaper -- nice mechanics and theme, looks like a fun barbarian subclass, dude.
Theme votes:
1. It's Technical -- I'm thinking of doing a cyborg subclass for the mutant class I made in the base class competition, could be fun.
2. Make a Choice -- I honestly love this theme and points for everyone, maybe too much, but I ain't gonna stop now."Now get on your flying boat and stop a crazy dwarf vampire from committing election fraud!"

Subclasses
- School of Fish: This was a fun interpretation of Hold the Line.
- Bunker Buster: I found myself surprised by how well a ranged character worked for this theme, so points for that.
- Path of the Root: Fulfilled the basic idea well.

Re: D&D Subclass Contest XXV Voting Thread
Time to call the voting, let's see what we've got!
In 3rd place with 9 points, it's gloryblaze with the Bunker Buster Ranger Archetype. Make cover work for you, but not your enemies!
In 2nd place with 11 points, it's Ninja_Prawn returning with the Wizard's School of Fish! It's a different kind of line but it's still being held.
And our winner with a commanding 20 points, it's nickl_2000 with the Ley Line Sorcerer. Magic flows through the earth and through you.
Our theme winner was Warriors of Old, finally claiming that first place slot after several contests as runner up. So You Don't Have To came in second and will return in the next voting pool.
Congrats to our winners, and I'll get Warriors of Old up shortly! And here it is: https://forums.giantitp.com/showthre...arriors-of-OldLast edited by MoleMage; 2021-10-11 at 04:14 PM.
