Default Looking for indie retro game of games

    Playgrounders, I beseech you!

A few years ago, maybe 2017/2018, I remember seeing a video (Kickstarter? Review? Preview?) where you play as a guy that lives in the 80s or something. Then… within the game, as the protagonist, you’d play other games. All of them were throwbacks to 80s games. Any thoughts?

Bonus points, looking for another indie game. 3/4 view, go around a town, play as different people with different… abilities, items? I recall there being some pond that was hard to get by, switch to some person that could overcome it. Pixel art, bright colors. Timing wise I learned of it about the same time as game #1 (but then again, maybe they were made years apart).

    Thanks!

Found it! The first one, at least. Browsed through tons of YouTube videos and Steam pages… nothing. Then randomly it just popped into my mind: 198X.

Still at a loss for the second though.
