I am lucky, I get to play mini-games a lot..... this was a little title called Under the Martian Yoke.

It is hard to take down a Martian Tripod with only a shotgun, a bat, and some fists. We had to run for it, but not without some casualties....

A game of White Star/Red Star. This is a Korean Air War game, and the rules can be found on the Wargame Vault.

The minis are Tumbling Dice 1/600 scale aircraft, but the rules are scale and model agnostic.

Kids and miniatures don’t mix, so we haven’t had the opportunity in a while. Spirit Island has a lot of pieces, not necessarily what we would define as typical miniatures, but still neat. MtG: Arena of the Planeswalkers kept our attention for some time.

We used off board tracking in this game to clean up the table a bit. Mostly using a white board to keep track of altitude, speed, damage, etc. It worked pretty slick.

It's true. Various sessions are few and far between, and I seldom remember to take any pictures during (let alone upload them), and at least one involves a NDA. Keep yours coming though - vicariously is one way to live...

I've played at least 30 games of The Ninth Age this year, and that's a slow year for me (well, not by the standards of the last three, but COVID was what it was). I just basically never remember the taking pictures part.

This was a rather large pitched battle situation as Imperial Troops tried to push Ork forces from the island of Baron's Rest. Of note, those Chimeras are made of cardstock and printed on a Grey Scale only laser printer using stir straws as barrels.

The Battle of Ephesus using the Men of Bronze rules. My skumgrod (Ork for favored enemy) and I are playing a campaign of the Ionian Revolt, a Greek vs. Persian campaign prior to the Greco-Persian Wars. Miniatures are all from Victrix Limited.

I managed to get in some games of Kill Team. I used some Rogue Trader era metal Eldar and some 2nd Edition, first run Dire Avengers from Jes Goodwin as my Kill Team.

These were some of the my first wargaming miniatures and some of them are older than many of my fellow game group members.

Heh. Most of my 40k collection is the stuff from the 90's. I love my old howling banshees, striking scorpions, and eldar dreadnoughts. I will cop to liking most of the 4e tyranids better than the older stuff, but I really like my 2E Carnifex, Hive Tyrants, and Biovores. Ooh! And my Armorcast Exocrine! I'll have to see if I can start scheduling some games so I can post some pictures here.

My local group is on a Kill Team bender, so I got to play some more of it. This time, I used my Corsairs and loaned my Craftworlders out to a new player.

    Shuriken Catapults are pretty great!

I also started re-painting up some old Harlequins from 1989 or so. Hopefully, they will get to see some action soon. However, their rules are very confusing to me. Perhaps in use the rules will become more obvious to me?

    Long overdue thread tax:

Played a game of WarpStrike (see my sig) with my buddy. Sisters of Battle (played by space marines) vs Orks exploring a tomb world (aka Necron blips). Two Pariahs popped up near my line. Set one on fire before my heavy bolter put them down. (Oops! forgot to check for Necron self-repair!) Next an immortal popped up. Gauss Blasters are nasty, and I didn't have much (plasma pistol on high power) that had any hope of penetrating his T6, 1+ armorsave hide. Set him on fire, pounded the crap out of him with my heavy bolter, but nothing would penetrate. He took down my leader twice (Hospitalier brought her back up once) and my Sis. Superior once. Ended up bailing before my opponent's warboar-riding assault force got anywhere near me, with a second immortal moving in.

Have to invest in some melta weapons, I think. But the next battle will be at my place, which means wandering tyranids instead of necrons. Most of the tyranids go down much easier!
