The Sisters' Chronicles Thread 2: Nobody likes Abadaius

Alifa finished scratching out the runes as she thought to Kat.
I will want to talk to you about their names later.

They are pretty weird names.

With a grunt, one by one Determination ripped the chains off of its body, stepping down from the altar.
"Mmm... I'm afraid I was not led into this prison through conventional means. What's the most direct way outside?"

[Xihirli]

"We went through a whole bunch of defenses that would be hard to get you through. We were hoping together we could rip a hole in the wall and just jump off the tower," Alifa said.

[Valmark]

"The honorable way would be to meet their challenge head on, but I owe you to not cause you trouble" Determination nodded and clenched its fist "Let's see if they've picked out a good material to box us in. What's the shortest path to outside?"

Anything you have to break down the wall (or help Stoney break it)?

Based roughly on how far in they’d gone, Alifa led the way to a wall she thought likely to lead outside.
"Galaxy, shining in the darkness! Become a ray of hope and live within my servant! Descend to me! Incarnation of Light!! Come forth, Star Spawn Illumi-naughty!"
And a big burly Star Spawn appeared to help bust down the wall. Alifa added her own hammering of bolts to the efforts to weaken the material, and Boots hit the walls with thunder.

We’re blasting the walls with force and thunder! And Illumi-naughty will be imbued with… Determination.

[Valmark]

Determination stared at Alifa's summon for an almost worringly amount of time.
"How... Curious" it stood up to the wall, with Kat helpfully shooting (wasn't very effective) and Hootie belching out acid sprays, and brought its shoulder back before bringing its fist against the wall.

There was a thundering sound as fist and battered wall collided, and a cracking as it started to give away (the wall). The stoneperson's skin had broken punching it barefisted.
"It's not material of this world" it realized, then punched it a second time. A mouth formed above on the ceiling.

"Prisoner escaping! Prisoner escaping!" It yelled, and everybody heard ruckus in the room they had came from.

The wall's coming down, but it'll be a few seconds. Judging by the sounds outside if not hindered somebody will get in before you are dine getting out.

Alifa looked at the wall and nodded to Kat.
"You and me are doing covering fire while these three bust us out." She turned around and got ready to fire her beams at the crowd rather than the walls.

We won't be running this fight unless you decide to stay and battle.

As soon as the door opened Kat and Alifa fired rays and arrows, butchering the pair of paladins coming in- soon a big, tough-looking shielded golem, came in followed by a second one, arrows and rays plinking with much less effectvness against them- behind some archers with hoods covering their faces sneaked in, whisps of smoke and shadow instead of faces, and then a pale armor-clad lancer with fury in her eyes stormed in.
"Don't let them walk outside!" she barked out.

Unfortunately for her, the wall gave way- breaking down, they finally could stare at the outside, which had a weird dark blue hue to it.
"Etheral Plane. We'll be shunted back onto ours once we jump off" and it waited for the group to go ahead.

"Sounds good to me!" Boots flew out. Alifa pointed at the armies. "Illumi-Naughty! Attack!"
And while it did that, she and Kat flew after Boots out of the hole in the wall.

[Valmark]

The Star-spawn charged the golems, which unexpectedly created a pretty harsh barrier for anybody to pass through, and so the group was able to exit the tower- it faded behind them, as the world took back color. They heard a loud boom because Determination had jumped down, smashing into the ground with hardly a scratch (on itself, the ground cracked)- nearly immediately something flew at it, and for the first time Kat and Alifa saw the Crimson Smile's (otherwise called Confidence by its sibling) form as they hugged their sibling laughing in six hundred different voices of various age, gender and species. One next to the other, Confidence just looked like a creepy animated scarf.

"Wo-hoo! Missed you!"
"You didn't save me personally"
"****ing tuning forks didn't let me in! Look, I found someone to do it, it still counts right?"
"...fine, I missed you" and it gave them back the hug.

Then Yuki and the rest of the snow fey exited into the clearing, accompanied by blooded elementals. They had carved a path through.

[Xihirli]

"Alright, let’s go!" Boots pointed away from the tower.
"Yuki, what’s the nearest faerie crossing that doesn’t lead into the swamps?" Alifa asked, meeting up with the ice fey.

[Valmark]

"No idea. I... Haven't been out in a long time"

Meanwhile, Boots realized she smelled corruption since when the Crimson Smile appeared in open view.

I had forgotten to mention that.

"Summoner" Determination asked Alifa "What was that entity you summoned before?"

Crimson Smile was still all cozied up to Stoney.

[Xihirli]

Boots laid a hand on the Crimson Smile to end the corruption.

"A star spawn… but this staff imbued with Druidic Power imbued it with Determination."

[Valmark]

The Crimson Smile turned its head to stare with the creepiest smile ever.
"Watcha' doing?"
The smell did not go away.

The stoneperson seemed lost in thought for a moment.
"I feel like... I've forgotten something important"
"Pffft, nah. So, we should get these fey somewhere they won't die shouldn't we?" Crimson Smile looked around, then shrugged "We're pretty far from any safe passage to the Feywild. Let's start walking? Or rather you start walking, me and my sibling have more to do"
"We need to help them against the darkrot"
"No, we don't. We have virtually no stake in their conflict- what we have to do is free our brother and sister"

"Determination," Boots said, sparkles around her spinning quickly. "I don't know how, but your brother Confidence has been infected with the Darkrot. I can cleanse him but it might not be pretty. But with how powerful he is I don't think I have a choice not to. Can you hold him still?"

As Determination moved to execute Confidence jumped back "Woa woa calm down! Juuuust my tiny little plan B if you failed to rescue my sibling. Well, more like plan Z- you were the plan Y probably" and the Crimson Smile produced a knife, which they threw on the ground. It was black and zigzagged, with a weird black liquid glistening on it.
"Me and my siblings are immune to the corruption. It's way this isn't our fight"
"It is and we're helping them"
"What!? Why?"
"Even if it wasn't, they saved me- I'm sworn to help them and pay my debt"
"But they were doing it to repay me!"

[Xihirli]

Boots narrowed her eyes and used her Divine Sense to make sure Confidence was free of the corruption now that the knife was on the ground.

[Valmark]

Zeroing in on the exact source, Boots confirmed that the source was only the dagger- it was easily some of the strongest amount of corruption she had ever felt, comparable to what tried eating through Figrikhariz.

[Xihirli]

She picked up the dagger.
"As soon as we get a break, Send to Fiamma to ask if we can melt this in her lava."
Alifa nodded. "Got it. And should I tell Ethrindae to expect you tonight?"
"Absolutely." Boots turned to Yuki, steeling herself to withstand the queen’s flirting. "We’re going to camp forbthe night just outside of the crossing into the Feywild. Tomorrow, we’ll set out into Faerie to cut to Fig’s territory. Let’s get going. And Determination… you can go with your brother for now. We’re getting ready for one big push into Darkling land, and Alifa can Send to you when that’s imminent. We would appreciate it if you could show up then."
"And if Joy and Wrath want to come along they’re also welcome to help."

With that, Alifa and Boots started leading the Ice Fey back to Faerie.

[Valmark]

"You mean those imprisoned one within Abadaius' specially made prison where angels are ready to jump in at a moment's notice and the other right where the god sleeps? Yeah I'll tell them"
"So you haven't got a plan?"
"I have plans for days. It's good ideas I'm lacking. My spy in the inside can help us reach Wrath- but after that he'll be inevitably discovered so reaching Joy will be a pain"

While the siblings chatted between each other the nymph stood right into Boots' face with big wide eyes.
"So you'll protect me? Hug me tight with your big and strong hero arms?" She asked, then another fey- a little snowman, intervened "Fig... Would it be Firaga's Territory? Most of us will die if we go there!"
"Oh so scary" Yuki grabbed onto Boots' arm, though that was half real fear.

"Oh by the way the darkling armies are preparing for all out war as well. They would've struck first if you hadn't been going around beating up all their allies"

[Xihirli]

"Good thing we’re awesome, then."
"The crossing to Fig’s mountain is in Lucilla’s territory… we can go around Fiamma’s." Alifa smiled at her blushing sister.
"But seriously, Yuki, leave her alone. She’s already said no."

[Valmark]

"Mmm... So, since you didn't say that it means you're fair game?" And the nymph moved over to latch onto Alifa.

Kats, seeing what was likely to happened, started walking away and into hiding.

Alifa glowered.
"Let me be as clear as possible. The next time you make an advance on me or my sister, I make sure you never get aroused again."
Boots interjected:
"But! Once we get to the Silverlings I know a hot barbarian who will be happy to see you!" Boots said.
"Keep your pants on for like a day and a half and and then enjoy yourself."

[Valmark]

"You're almost scarier then our previous home. So, shall we go?" The nymph smiled happily.

[Xihirli]

"Yep, let's get away from this awful place."
And the Princesses led the Queen on.

Are Determination and Confidence coming with?

As they started traveling Confidence faded from view- there was no real way to call it otherwise, they hadn't casted a spell or hidden or anything else.

Determination stayed put, arms crossed in front of itself. It seemed to be waiting for something.

That's the plan

"Are you coming with us?" Alifa asked Determination.

Boots showed Alifa the dagger once they stopped.
"Can you cast a spell on this so that if someone tries to take it tonight we know?"
"Yeah, after I put up the dome."
While Alifa did that, Boots messed with her sparkles to start rebuilding Tilly with spots and a grinning mouth... as a GIANT HYENA.

[Valmark]

"We're waiting for Confidence's spy to reach us. He will get us into Wrath's prison"

"KYA KYA KYA!" Exclaimed Tilly as she came into being, giving Boots a lick and the greatest smile she had ever seen after Confidence's.
Hey there was a beast with a lot of masks in a dark room before you dismissed me!

[Xihirli]

Yeah, it's dead now. Boots kept a hand firmly on the dagger while she lied down on Tilly's belly.
Alifa put a dome around Boots, herself, Kat, and a few of the winter fey. Then she cast Alarm on the dagger so it would ring if anyone but Boots touched it.

She laid down next to her sister and cuddled up.
