    Rose stands and ponders the dagger a bit more, trying to examine the statue, the way things are positioned and try to determine if she can tell anything about who it might have been left for, why and what the meaning is. Why do many of the trays carry potions but this one gets a bejeweled dagger? She also asks the unseen servant to prod it a bit. Not lift it from the tray, just move it slightly on the tray.

    Ghiso gritted his teeth and reflexively weaved strands of magic with his fingers, forming a shimmerinh curtain around his head that repelled the enchantment (though he didn't know it was one).

    "Careful, there are magical traps" he warned the others before taking the lute. After all he had already sprung that one specific trap.

    Nothing happens when Rose has the servant prod the dagger. By the look of it there is no specific religious aspects to the dagger, it was probably a decorative piece that belonged to some royal.

    Ghiso is able to recover the lute, however a second after he turns around the eyes of the stature glow red, the fingers turn sharp, and it claws at the back of his head.

    "I'm not sure why this thing woke up but we'll put it back to rest soon enough." Rose says as she steps forward. As she swings her halberd, she whispers a short phrase to the weapon and it becomes cloaked in a gentle green light.

    Taara sprang forward with the speed of a monk, quarterstaff in hand. She opened with a pole vault into a kick, then rolled and struck at the back of the stone creature's knee with her staff in the same movement that brought her to her feet.

    Lana listened closely. Yes... even here in this dark crypt she could hear the sea, and all of its power. She called upon it and splashing nearby came out a spirit of a beluga, blue light shimmering off of it and bolstering those around it.

    Rose, Taara, and Imrin lay into the statue. Some of the attacks bounce harmlessly off of the stone body, but enough of them land true that it crumbles to the ground leaving a carved obsidian skull with two bloodstones behind.

    After scooping up the skull and bloodstones and depositing them into Lana's labyrinthian load-bearer, Zarron cracks the left-most door a bit and peeks through the opening.

    Peaking into the room you see a spectral form clad in armor guarding the door on the opposite side of the room. It doesn't appear to notice you yet. There are a some coffins in the corners.

    Putting a finger to his lips, and looking specifically at Lana, Zarron magically creates a small facsimile of the specter he sees lurking in the next room, to warn the group of what he saw. The words "Surprise Attack?" in Common hang above said illusory specter.
