Custom user title for non mods and changing one's account name

is there the possibility that a non-mod get a custom user title (like "Half-elf half dwarf in the playground" or "Dwelf in the playground")? and if there is... can user name be changed once the custom user title is acquired? i dont like being called stuff just because I posted x times.

It's based entirely on post count (excepting mods, retired mods, and Rich himself) and is also pretty much irrelevant. Pretty sure there's a rule that it's supposed to be irrelevant... Ah, here it is!

Discussing Post Counts
This also includes discussing user level or time being a member. Some people may think that a large post count is a status symbol, or grants them spooky powers. It doesn't. We try to treat all posters as equal, the ones that just started posting and the ones that have been here since the dawn of time have equal importance.

So yeah, no changing it from the usual track short of becoming a mod, but it also shouldn't be a big deal.

Well, it's contradictory the same way it's contradictory that your job title doesn't match your name (well, unless you're Qunari, I guess) . That is, it's not really meant to match and it's rather irrelevant.

Seems like an odd reason to do it, but since your plan is basically to be as well-behaved and trustworthy as possible, I doubt anyone will mind.
