This gold ring is intricately carved with all the trappings of a hearty feast, from turkey legs to mugs of ale.
This ring continually provides its wearer with life-sustaining nourishment. The ring must be worn for a full week before it begins to work. If it is removed, the owner must wear it for another week to reattune it to himself.

Sometimes simple is better, I guess. I have a lower level party that I'm DMing for, and I always do something for them for the holidays. Being Thanksgiving, they all wake up to find these on their hands. Yes, I could have given them regular Rings of Sustenance, but passing out 6k worth of unearned items is a bit less game unbalancing than 15k at their level. If they want the regular version, they can buy it.
