Magic Item decision for ECL 5
Hey there gang,
Just wondering what are some good options for magic items around 5th level for a dwarf cleric. I'm fighter 1/cleric 4, with about 6k to spend - got a +2 reach weapon and some banded mail.
Been debating on getting maybe gauntlets of ogre strength or gauntlets of war (+3 damage) - or just saving up.
Any thoughts? Here's the character if interested. All of these below are ancient at this point... but good references of my own games I ran or participated in:

Which books are allowed?
From core, there's the Periapt of Wisdom (handy for a cleric), Slippers of Spider Climbing (not exactly optimal, but you can do slow-moving parkour), a Handy Haversack or three, or, if you want to be a little more out there, a Keelboat, to which you would then add wheels and have a rather nifty amphibious vehicle.

Agreed on the periapt of wisdom - never really hurts. Also, if you don't have magical armor you can bump it up to at least a +2 with those funds. Ring of protection or amulet of natural armor is always good. I am really a fan of the Artificer's Monocle from MIC, if you have detect magic and 5 ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) - for 1,500gp the free identifies will more than pay for the item in the long run.
