Winter, hearing the sounds to the NW passage steps towards the door that her friends vanished down and then as she can see the ghost continues to send pulses of holy power at it!

R5T22: Winter, hearing the sounds to the NW passage steps towards the door that her friends vanished down and then as she can see the ghost continues to send pulses of holy power at it, but it seems very good at resisting such an attack and only takes 2 PE.

R5T21: The ghost steps through the wall, and reappears right next to Kris. This surprises Kris as it puts its hand through the upper lung at her right shoulder .... and while there is a superficial sting, it seems to do no damage. Now it is the ghost who is surprised!

R5T21: Ms. Wrentz heads north into the center cell and presses her body against the wall to surprise the thing if it comes out again.

R5T14: St. Dorn, you wipe the dirt out of your eyes and you see again. Lay on hands energy is charged on your hand. What do you do?

St. Dorn moves S and attempts to touch the apparition. He positions himself to protect his adjacent ally.

R5T14: St. Dorn hoped to catch it before it made it fully through the wall, but fails, as the ghost is now in or south of the wall itself.

R5T8: Lillian fails to move south into the lower room acrobatically past Winter, and the ghost passes its hand through her head to do 21 corruption to the cleric, causing her to retreat even farther away into that room.. Lillian simply touches herself with her charged spell to give herself 15 healing, removing much of the aging she just took.

Kris flies away, purposefully giving the ghost an opening as she does, before casting her last volley of force projectiles.

R6T29: Kris flies away, purposefully giving the ghost an opening as she does, and the ghost takes full advantage of the offering ... passing its hand through her abdomen and lower back 20 corruption. Once south of Winter, Kris begins to cast a spell and the ghost hits her again, this time passing its hand through her casting arm. She does a better job resisting this time, only taking 14 corruption, but it was still painful enough that she lost her spell, and the sorcerer feels her mana ticking away.

Winter looks at the ghost and whispers a low curse, "Enough of this" she murmurs as she skips towards it and holds out a hand glimmering with holy power to try and cast it back to its undeath

R6T22: Winter looks at the ghost and whispers a low curse, "Enough of this." Standing before it already, she begins casting a spell, assuming that the ghost cannot harm her, but as she casts it swings a blue-glowing left fist that strikes her in the left shoulder for 14 force, knocking the wind out of her and making her lose her spell.

R6T21: Kris just barely recognizes the fist-fakeout that the ghost does - keeping her from being caught flat-footed - but his right hand still passes through her chest. Knowing what's coming, Kris resists, but still takes 16 corruption.

R6T18: Ms. Wrentz repositions to the southeast corner of the main outer hall.

R6T14: St. Dorn, lay on hands is still loaded on your hand. What do you do?

R7T29: Kris tries to cautious fly away by going back and up, but she underestimates the effort it takes to go upwards, and in that split-second of understanding the ghost passes its hand through her protection and her high-center chest. She was so focused on the flight that when she gets hit she doesn't resist the aging effect. In mid-air, the already seemingly gone from youthful Kris to current middle-age, rapidly goes through the cycle of life as she falls ... through old age, into an old crone, and her head splits open on the rocky floor as her brains spill out ... making it completely without doubt what her current situation happens to be.

R7T22: Winter, Krisztina "Kris" Boyka Marquering, one of the Briarstone Asylum patients whom you felt responsible for and had survived ... was just killed in a most horrible way in front of your eyes even as you enjoy FH8. What do you do?

R7T22: Winter screams in anger and grief as Kris is killed by the foul apparition that they cannot seem to hurt. Opening herself once more to her gods, she directs all of her disgust at it, channeling yet more positive energy at the thing. It resists, only taking 6 mod PE. "Be gone! Why will you not depart this realm?!?" she cries as she does so.

R7T21: The ghost steps northwest through the wall. Thus revealed, Ms. Wrentz fires her crossbow, but St. Dorn is in her way and her shot misses. The ghost fails to fake out St. Dorn and misses the paladin.

R7T14: St. Dorn, what do you do? Your lay on hands is still charged on your hand.

R8T22: Chasing down the vile ghost, Winter stands astride a dead skum and begins to channel her most powerful spell into trying to unmake it. It throws a blue-glowing fist at her, which is stopped by her armor, and she succeeds in her casting, but likewise fails to land her own attack, the powerful spell still charged on her hand.

R8T21.5: Ms. Wrentz moves north into the eastern cell to hide.

R8T21: The ghost bolts southeast through the wall faster than Winter or St. Dorn can react, and Lillian screams in pain in the next room.

It would normally have hit him with his smite, but it has cover in the wall, and that is all that St. Dorn hits.

R8T8: Lillian studies the ghost, puts her whip in her buckler hand, and concentrates on a positive energy spell. She misses her target, and steps back 5'.

Winter hides in anger ”you will suffer for what you’ve done” as hearing the cry of pain she gives chase, racing to stand by St Dorn and punch the ghost in the face with her glowing hand!

R9T22: Winter seethes in anger, ”You will suffer for what you’ve done.” Hearing the cry of pain, she gives chase, racing to stand by St Dorn and swings at the ghost's face with her glowing hand but misses.

R9T21.5: Ms. Wrentz carefully makes her way in the new darkness to the south, carefully to the doorway. She shoots at the ghost, but misses and speed reloads.

R9T21: The ghost ducks into the floor and then comes up in the floor behind Lillian to touch her in the hip for 14 corruption. Lillian is looking decrepit now.

R9T14: St. Dorn, you lost the lay on hands you had charged when you attacked two-handed with the hammer. What do you do now?

St. Dorn (wracked by guilt) moves forward towards the spirit and his holy hammer hums through the air as he swings it towards the fell entity.

R9T14: Wracked by guilt, St. Dorn moves forward towards the spirit, his holy hammer humming through the air as he swings it towards the fell entity. The hammer drops upon and through the ghost's body. As it is ripped apart, he shouts, "I'LL ... BE BAAAAACK....!"

Winter pauses, looking back at the poor body of Kris. A shake of her head ”Hiw many will this house of horrors take?” she wonders tiredly. Then with her hand still aglow with power she offers, “is anyone else injured by that things foul touch, I have healing for one who would need it.”

“I am unhurt… physically. See to Lillian as she looks ready to drop.” says St. Dorn tiredly as his war hammer drops from numb fingers. He scrubs his face for a few seconds as if to remove some residual horror.
“Aye, this place exacts a heavy toll. The King in yellow will pay dearly for the death it has wrought!”
The old man will pick up the weapon and its worn grip feels comfortable in his hand.
“I do na’ understand what Kris was doin. It was like she wanted it to touch her? Maybe she was under some sort of spell from the ghosty.”

Winter touches Lillian to discharge the spell for 15 healing, even as Lillian discharges her own spell on herself for 12 healing. Meanwhile, after two rounds Winter has purged the last of the force-wound and aging she had received.

Lillian then casts another spell on herself for 17 healing, with less than a light wound remaining.

How much care do you give to searching this room?

Dorn will check the room and the surrounding hallway for a blanket, tarp or tapestry in which to transport Kris’ body. Baring that he will use an intact crate.
“We are spent and distraught over Kris’ death. We need to return to the detective agency and rest. We can give Kris her burial and return Sholn to his sister Holissa.”
The Saint moves about his task with great sadness.
“She was a being of air and light. She d’na deserve to die in this darkness.”

Winter nods, "Another buried searching this King in Yellow. Although I do not know that I am spent, merely saddened and riven by grief. But I'm not sure if there is much left to seacrch in this place?" Even as as she speaks she'll look to the others to see if they can suggest any other locations?
