Yeah, I knew it could easily come off that way, but I didn't feel like trying to come up with a better version.

Also, I slept wrong. My whole body aches and it hurts to look around. Driving in to work this morning was not fun.

I just spent five and a half hours in an uncomfortable hospital chair with a very noisy machine taking blood from one arm, removing the white cells from it, and then pumping the remnants back into the other arm. Had to go to the toilet three times into a cardboard bottle because I couldn't be detached from the machine while it was running. So, not been the most pleasant of days...

Because an ongoing struggle is that Bartmanhomer wants us to help him with his ability to write since he is, in his words, bad at it and needs help. So we are helping as much as one can, squeezing this stone for as much juice as we can.

I think he'd best be served by language courses, be it online or offline, and simply trying to communicate instead trying to be a better writer right off the bat. The occasional correction in this thread won't amount to much, nor would I expect it to. Learning a new language is difficult!

I did consider plasma donation roughly when I got my gold badge, but had to give up on the donations after starting on some incompatable medication. Your description makes it sound like I made the right decision...

This wasn't a plasma donation, it's for a treatment for my cancer. Pretty sure a plasma donation only takes an hour or two, although the noisy machine and having needles in both arms is probably the same!

So anyway, many people told me that Will Smith punched Chris Rock at the Oscars because Chris disrespected Will's wife last night. I didn't see that part because they edited it out. But I will say that it was very wrong for Chris to disrespect Will's wife like that.

Jeez that sounds rough. For nearly six hours, you'd assume they'd have a better waste system in place and maybe a meal service, at least.

In which case I hope the treatment goes well. It's one thing as a donor, it's quite another form of unpleasent when there's no choice.

Seeing this kind of things always make me think of how inconsequential my personal problems actually are and how lucky I've been so far.
I can't imagine what I would do or feel in your shoes.

My beloved roommate can walk without a walker again(admittedly using a leg brace now, but still)!

Also her giant tumor in her torso was cancer free!

She still has lymph node cancer but things are looking good and she’s now due to come home from the hospital next week!

In other news I took the 17 year old to his semester tests in another city (a fifty minute drive), so he’s almost done with high school.

Also her giant tumor in her torso was cancer free!

She still has lymph node cancer but things are looking good and she’s now due to come home from the hospital next week!

Also forgive my ignorance, but what are semester tests? I'm presuming this is something to do do with the US not having as many standardised country-wide tests as the UK (where you have your Year 2 SATs, Year 6 SATs, Year 9 SATs, GCSEs, and finally AS and A2s).

US does have national standardized tests (SAT and ACT, at least), and if never heard of semester tests. Another word for midterms maybe? But I don't know why thatd be in a different site.
