Gelley emits an 'awww' with a tone of infatuation that's only heard from someone well and truly undone by cuteness. Trap or not, she goes to rub that belly. If she gets some nips for her trouble, well, you know, that's just the cost of doing business.

The older man groans and shuts his eyes, rubbing his bald head. "Well, I suppose you had better feed it. Just be careful, hm?" He points at Rein. "It can talk."

"Hm?" Gelley looks down at the furry baby cradled against her bosom. "You can? Aw, I just love this weird place! Say something, kitty! Want some food?"

"Cat-like moves, that's me!" says Tina, flexing her wings and likely inadvertently knocking Kirk's hat off his head. "Whatever you need boss, I'm your gal!" says she. She casts a look over at the gathered quartet. "Hey! I know... like... half of those people. Neat! We're racking up quite a little guest list."

She points from Dena to Kirk. "By the way, you two. I gotta see you in my tent. We gotta go over the whole... groomspeople thing. That's me. I'm the groom," Tina explains 'simply'. "And you can help me pick a dress."

Dena could lean over and pick up Kirk's hat and return it to him. She could even steal it from him if she really wanted to.

But right now she was far too pregnant to give a damn and she wasn't even really showing yet.

Instead she smiles as Tina reminds her of the 'groomspeople thing', though it doesn't quite reach her ears. "Of course, I'd love to." Tina were deciding on a dress at the wedding?!

She was glad that she would never get married as she would never accept this kind of disorganization. Her standards were just too high.

[Reinholdt]

[Outside]

So Gelley has chosen... death. Reinholdt grabs her hand as it gets some brushes on his belly and uses his paws to pull her fingers in close enough for him to gently touch with his teeth. He makes no use of his claws and isn't exactly biting even if the motion is similar, so it doesn't hurt at all really. Just a clear show of dominance. That established, he withdraws his teeth and replaces it with his cheek, nuzzling the hand he has caught and marking it as his.

Aww, she listened to her old man so readily. Rein can't not speak now. "Well of course I can speak. I am after all, an extremely rich and handsome prince cursed to this form until I find my true love and mother for my children." Obviously. "I'm not really that hungry. I can wait until the reception."

"I do make sure to stay in touch with my people. And MERC members and licensees have come out in numbers." He gestures to Cassandra, off to the side speaking to Anika and Blanche, and Fayyaad, who has just left the bride's tent. He has... no idea what to think about Tina as a MERC member. Well, crazier things happened, he supposes... "If you have moved around the MERC base with cat-like agility and elite spycraft, then you are certainly welcome aboard."

"Cat-like moves, that's me!" says Tina, flexing her wings and likely inadvertently knocking Kirk's hat off his head. "Whatever you need boss, I'm your gal!" says she. Disorganization is an understatement. He's fairly certain that the boss just had selective vision when it came to Fettina being on site, but he'll spare her pointing that out. The drow leans down, reaching across his body with his good hand so he can recover his hat. "Yes, I was going to remind Dena of that before you ambushed us." He hangs the hat off his stone hand so he can give it a dust off before placing it back on his head. "We probably shouldn't delay if you've still got half of the wedding to plan on the day of."

Dipsnig gives his senior officers and new member a little wave.

"Alright, good luck. I'll be around if you want to find me later."

"Hey, it's just the dress! I've got the rest all planned!" Fettina pouts. "...My dad helped."

"But yeah, we can't stick around chit-chatting too long! We've got places to be!" She gives Dipsnig a salute. "Sorry to cut things short, boss! We'll definitely see you later. For the party!"

As they're starting away, Fettina looks at her companions. "Oh, shoot. You don't think he thought I was making a short joke, do you?"

[Outside]

Gelley giggles. Then she almost drops Rein when he really does talk. "Oh my goodness!" She blinks a few times. "I have seen some odd things here, but never like you!" She eyes him. "Cursed, huh? Well I don't know about any children, but I can sure help with curses!" She will try to plant a kiss right on the top of Rein's lil' kitty head.

[The Ceremony]

It's nearly that time. In just a few short minutes, the toll of a bell summons the nearby guests to the church. Staff and family members will try to help collect everyone as well. It seems things are ready to get underway.

As Dipsnig leaves, Dena raises her hand into a two fingered salute. "Bye boss, don't forget to look at the document I left on your desk!"

She's talking about Tina's office application of course.

Then she turns to Tina. "Nah, he's pretty tall for a goblin so he doesn't imagine that people would call him short."

[The Ceremony]

After helping Tina pick a dress, Dena is on her phone just waiting for this to get started.
She's going to put it away the moment she hears the music, she swears.

[Reinholdt]

[Outside]

Reinholdt shakes his head as if to escape before putting his paw where Gelley kissed, holding it dramatically and moaning lightly. "Ohh... Oh I'm feeling... something's happening." A flicker of mediocre illusion magic causes light to start shining from his head and grow in volume in intensity. He has to push away, reluctantly, from Gelley out of her arms in order to get on the ground. So that he can transform and grow into a stunningly handsome man with pink eyes and a tailored suit. Of course, the light tries to keep up with him and fails because the magic is pretty terri-bad, but it fades now so it stops getting in anyone's eyes.

Reinholdt gasps in pretend shock.

Oh. Just in time for the Ceremony it seems. Dangit Tina! Things were just getting good, stop getting married!

[Nave - Meeting the Goblins]

The goblins look at each other. Olvisin snickers.

"Good thing we're at a wedding, otherwise you might have started a fight by asking that."

"Yeah, this will take some negotiations. I'm guessing you don't have siblings."

"But we won't say no to some cooperation in the future. We've worked with others before. And a sniper would fill out our squad rather nicely, you're right."

[Nave - Meeting the Goblins]

"Yep, I'm an only child." Chidi proves them right, rubbing the back of his head with an apologetic look. He really should have thought of that, this isn't the first time he's met siblings that can be quite competitive, after all.

"Well, negotiate away and tell me what y'all decide." He says with a smile. Siblings! Wonder how they'd solve this little issue? Chidi imagines them doing it via rock-paper-scissors.

"Let's do it someday, then!" He says, in response to working together. "We could even start in the training area."

"Hey, it's just the dress! I've got the rest all planned!" Fettina pouts. "...My dad helped."

Kirk gives Dena a sidelong glance and makes no comment. A risky lie given Tina will almost certainly meet some of the other goblins working for Merc.

"I'll admit that I don't know much about weddings." Kirk says, getting onto the main topic at hand, "But my understanding is the dress is a fairly large decision that's made well in advance."

[Morty]

"We could, yes. We should, really. Need to make sure we know what to expect before we do it in the field."

"For now, I vote we get something to drink," Luuvat cuts in. "This is a wedding, isn't it?"

[Murkus]

"Yeah, well, I narrowed it down, okay? My groomspeople are supposed to give me a hand! Did you think you were just going to sit around all day, hm?"

[The Ceremony]

Once things have settled down and most of the guests are present in the nave, it's time for the ceremony to begin. Any musicians who are going to play during the ceremony (such as the ladies of Deathkiss) have likely been instructed to play something 'traditional'. Of course, what exactly that means to them may vary, but it's at least expected that there will be some cultural variance in their suggestions. The wedding of two women in a venue like this is already unusual. It's likely that their specific choices have been vetted before the actual ceremony begins, but they could always change things up a little.

The gathering can see the older man who's been organizing the wedding so far standing before the chancel. His suit has shifted colors, from deepest black to mesmerizing green and blue with branching patterns arrayed across the front. He has his hands folded solemnly before him.

"Like many of the lands of our Earth, the country from which my family came is long gone now. Destroyed by war, by famine, or by the rising of the sea. In this age of our Earth we are fortunate to explore other worlds... to reach beyond our ruin. But there are times that we must gaze back. What traditions survived from the days before the darkness are somewhat mixed and muddled, their clarity eroded by the passing of time. Yet we will honor them still. In this way, perhaps, they can be made holy once again."

He clears his throat and inclines his head. "Thank you all for honoring these ceremonies with your presence." This is the first cue. The bridesmaids and bridesmen are to escort Cantata forth, up to the chancel where Amari and likely at least one other officiate are waiting.

The ceremony does not seem to be a very strict one. That is to say, if folk wish to talk in ways that will not disrupt the union or even eat and drink, they won't be given any trouble for it. People seem to be able to filter in and out as they please.

[Outside]

Gelley gasps back, but it erupts into a fit of excitable giggles as she eyes Rein up and down. "Look! I won a prince, Nait!"

"He was definitely just waiting to do that," says Naitiri, shaking her pretty head. "Everyone is so weird here."

Then bells can be heard tolling from the church a little ways away... and both of the ladies perk up. "Oh, damn!" Gelley looks at Reinholdt. "I'm sorry Mr. Kitty! We have to go!"

"Sit around, stand around, then sit around some more, ideally." Kirk replies with a wink. He withholds further remark on the dress situation.

[The Ceremony]

As Amari concludes his speech, Cantata Nesczesliva makes her first steps out of the Bride's Tent and into the chapel - and those attending finally get a chance to see the wedding dress she's chosen to wear. Leafy vines of white lace woven into the fabric cover the bodice and trail down the long skirts in broken and swirling branches, evoking the image of leaves falling aflutter to collect at the foot of a tree as the dress shifts and moves around her. The simple white veil the woman wears is thin and transparent - but interestingly, her outfit isn't entirely without color. Around her shoulders is draped a rich silk shawl of ultramarine blue, the hem decorated with an alternating pattern of brilliant yellow and stunning red flowers that some in the audience may recognize as poppies. The bouquet she holds is made of poppies as well - but in addition to the yellow and red seen on Cantata's shawl, there are blues, whites and greens, a way of symbolizing both brides brought together.

Cantata begins to walk down the aisle, straight and poised - but some might be able to pick up on a feeling of nervousness, readable through the veil on her face. She's so used to being the center of attention in some form or other, and yet something about all of the eyes on her, the momentousness of the occasion... its enough to make anyone a little nervous. And an overall sense of anticipation in the air, well, an empath can't help but feel that too.

"I shan't keep you," Reinholdt says, getting on one knee as he kneels before Gelley and goes to take her hand, planting his lips upon the back of her hand as he looks up at her tenderly. "But I will pray we meet again soon."

Granted... soon might be real soon as moments after they depart Reinholdt also heads for the [Ceremony] and takes a guest seat. He more or less stays quiet and behaved during the events, having no gossip to spread as the bride arrives, eyes drawn to the empath's entrance.

Fayyaad is walking by Cantata's side as she heads down the aisle. He can't offer verbal support now that the ceremony has started, but he hopes that having friends by her side will at least calm her down.

"We could, yes. We should, really. Need to make sure we know what to expect before we do it in the field."

"For now, I vote we get something to drink," Luuvat cuts in. "This is a wedding, isn't it?"

At the mention of a drink, Chidi lights up a bit. "Oh sure, let's! Perhaps it's an opportunity to hang out, Luuvat?" He asks, gesturing with his head towards where drinks might be.

"W-well, I'll be free in like, an hour or sooo!" Gelley exclaims as she watches Rein smooch her hand... and is subsequently dragged off by Naitiri. She laughs as she goes.

[The Ceremony]

Amari will watch Cantata approach with folded hands, a beaming smile on his face. He tries to take Cantie's hands in his own when she reaches the head of the room. Gelley and Naitiri are trailing along right behind. "You are gorgeous, dear," he says, relatively quiet but not exactly whispering. He nods cordially to his daughters, but his focus is on Cantie. "Don't be nervous. Here, this way..."

There's a small white chair waiting for her up there, it seems... as well as a spread of what looks like small red nuts. Cantie will have been told that she's meant to, well... step on these before she sits. Smash them to bits!

"To signify your prosperity," Amari explains, sweeping a hand at the spread of kola nuts and inclining his head to Cantata if she does make it this far.

And as she goes about it, someone enters from the side of the chapel. A very familiar chrome woman with a pair of gorgeous steely wings and a fine blue suit. "Oh," says Tina, likely trailed by her groomspeople. She stops up short when she has a chance to take in Cantata fully. A molten pink blush heats her cheeks. Fluttery, she laughs and says, "Oh. I suddenly feel really, really underdressed..."

With Wren performing the wedding march and the three bridesfolks behind and beside her, Cantata provides Amari a nervous little smile through her veil. "Thank you," she attempts to answer by way of a nod, all too willing to follow the man's guidance. She glances down at the hem of her dress as if suddenly worrying whether her heels are up to the task before taking a deep breath, steadying herself, and beginning to march forward over the laid-out spread of fruit. She puts her effort into crushing as many as she can into fragments with each step without it looking too ungraceful, and does a fairly good job at it too - she certainly doesn't skip leg day.

Cantata does, however, stumble a little when Fettina makes her appearance. As underdressed as the angel may feel, Cantata clearly doesn't share the impression, briefly distracted by the stunning sight of her betrothed in her suit and the shimmering wings behind her. Even Kirk's potential presence here goes entirely ignored as she stares at the woman with a rising hue in her own cheeks. It takes a moment before she can snap out of it, her eyes drifting reluctantly away from Fettina to finish her ascent to the chair offered for her. She takes a seat rather gracefully, letting the bouquet rest in her lap and stealing another glance towards Fettina.

Kirk follows behind Fettina, as he was instructed as per the traditions they're following. He's wearing an exquisitely tailored suit. Mind you, when is he not? He does dispense with the hat in the more formal situation, though. He manages a neutral expression, rather than one that's grim. He looks at Cantata as they near, and his expression could mean anything. Well, presumably not anything good, but there's no reason to cause drama, that's for sure.

Fayyaad is following steadily behind Cantata, smiling. While he has no desire to get married himself, in truth he loves weddings. And all other fancy ceremonies. He also enjoys being in the centre of attention, and while the spotlight is firmly on the two brides today, he's still caught in it.

[Ceremony]

Fettina tries not to stare back at Cantie. Too much. Damn. They were really doing all this just to fool around? This was crazy. The sight of Cantata alone was making her heart do an odd little pitter-patter. She tries to draw confidence from the friends at her back, shooting Kirk a quick and appreciative glance. She knows that he's been... well, kinda jealous. There's not really a better word for it. She seems incredibly glad that he not only decided to be here, but he's being civil and... well, relatively supportive. It means a lot. The same goes for all her other friends - Fayyaad in particular catching a smile on the other side of the ceremony.

"So, uh," Fettina glances down at the trail of cracked kola, and at Cantie's legs. "I guess one of those funny massages where you walk along my back to get the kinks out is going to be out of the question, if I wanna survive this marriage."

Gelley giggles. Amari covers his mouth with his fist, but is clearly still smiling. The older man spreads his hands toward Fettina, Cantata, and their various companions.

"I am sure many of you are familiar with the concept of a 'dowry'," says Amari. He folds his hands and looks at Cantata, eyes bright. "But in our culture, it was traditionally the husband - or the groom - who brought gifts for the bride and her family. This represents both a tangible, physical commitment and displays the groom's ability to support and care for the one they cherish."

Amari looks to Fettina. Fettina will look to her groomspersons. They're supposed to pass her what appears to be a small, silvery, glittering ball. A retro-futurist gift package, sealed around the middle like a toy egg. This, she presents to Cantata. "Open it," Tina prompts, stepping back. She folds her arms behind her back.

It will unseal with a hiss. Inside, on a small glowing pad, is something that looks like a cross between a magnetic card and a key. It has a blue base for gripping, like a key, but extends outward in a paper thin rectangular shape, with the etchings of complicated circuitry apparent along the surface.

"I've never had a whole lot, um, since leaving home," she says, glancing awkwardly at her dad and then back at Cantata. "I was poor. For a really long time. Which was mostly my own fault, really, but... I learned a lot about how tough life can really be. How every little thing can set you back. And when I finally did get my hands on some money, on the 'good life', I'd kind of just... stumbled into it. I didn't work for it. I milked an ignorant system for all it was worth and I'm pretty well off now, but I never felt like that was something I really... um... deserved to have."

"And I've never done anything good with it. So... maybe let this be the first thing," Tina says, her voice a-quiver. "That... is a spare mag-key linked to my accounts. That can get... basically any amount of cash out of what I've got put together. I know... you don't need me to take care of you, Cantata, sugar. And you don't seem like the type of gal to take charity. But I want you to know... if there's anything you ever need... if things get tough... I will be there for you. And that..." She swallows, "That is me proving it to you, sug'. That's all I've got in the world, right there on that little pad."

Cantata blinks as she processes that nervous comment, and then bursts out into silent, breathy laughter a brief second later. It's not particularly audible over anyone else who has a similar reaction, but the body language isn't hard to read even with her face obscured by the veil. She almost starts to sign something before Amari pulls things back on track - and instead she folds her hands in her lap and looks towards him with polite respect.

The strange ball is exchanged and opened after the moment it takes for Cantata's fingers to find the trigger or latch for it, and looks briefly unsure of what she's looking at before Tina speaks. The woman doesn't remove the card just yet as she listens to her, suspecting it might come off as disrespectful in some manner When she's told what she's been given and the full weight of it sinks in, her hands tremble, the dowry almost slipping past them before she manages to catch it again in a light fumble. There's a nervous look down towards it before her eyes return to Fettina - she seems almost scared of what she's been given.

Listening to Fettina's speech though, that genuine outpour of affection she expresses? It's enough to make Cantata blush even through her veil, a hand lifting up against her chest in a gesture of heartfelt emotion. "You're right, I'm... scared all this access is too much [for me]," she finally answers, her hands moving in sign. "But to have so much trust placed in me, to know you're so willing to be there for me like this..." She can't even find the signs to express how she feels here, a hand returning to lay over her heart.

Kirk's stare get far more intense and his lips press in a thin line. He maintains his composure beyond that, but this makes him *deeply* concerned.

Fettina flushes and takes a step back. She looks to her father. Time for the next part of the ceremony.

"The groom must also display deference, humility and respect before their bride," says Amari. Technically they're also meant to do so before the bride's family, but Amari doesn't want to keep reminding Cantata that she hasn't got any family with her. "Usually this is done through a physical act."

Fettina nods. She takes a deep breath through her nose, folds her wings close to her body, and then starts to lower herself down. She drops onto her hands first, kicking out her legs next, and finally lies prostrate before Cantata. Her hands remain spread at her sides, as if she were about to do a push-up. The angel leans forward and kisses the top of Cantata's foot.

As she does this, her sisters come to join her. They come around from behind Cantata and lower themselves down just the same way beside Tina. Gelley giggles at this part of the gesture. Naitiri doesn't quite lower herself all the way, not wanting to get dirty, and she hisses at Gelley mildly to shush.

Amari looks amused, with his hands folded behind his back. "Is this sufficient, miss Niesczesliwa? Or is there something more that Fettina could do?"

Tina, for her part, just thinks the whole process is kinda cool. Very romantic. She chances a quick glance and a wink up at Cantata, but otherwise stays facing down.

Cantata, for her part, seals the orb closed and folds her arms to cross over and hold the object in place in a distinctly non-possessive gesture. She looks towards Amari once more rather politely, nodding in understanding - but she clearly doesn't know what gesture the group has in mind here. The woman looks towards Fettina a little quizzically as she sinks to the floor, then feels her cheeks turn pink as the angel places a kiss on the straps of her heels. Her face glows brighter with a sort of amused embarrassment and she even giggles along with Gelley, raising a hand to cover her lips. "Y-yes [I think this should be sufficient]", Cantata answers with a nod. Tina's cheeky little wink earns her a smile and a chiding look that means something along the lines of "Oh, you scamp."

Fettina and her sisters slowly rise to their feet, glancing at each other. Tina and Gelley share airy giggles as they dust themselves off. Amari inclines his head at them, giving the moment an appropriate pause, before he goes on.

"And now, we will hear a few vows, to inform the intent and character of the bond which the bride and groom shall share," says the aged man. "Would you lead us, please, miss Niesczesliwa?"

Cantata nods in agreement and turns towards Fettina, looking suddenly a bit more nervous once more. She reaches out to clasp Fettina's hands in hers, as is tradition during vows where she comes from - before she recalls the issue she'll have with such a gesture, reluctantly drawing them back to sign.

"I-I, Gwynevere Cantata Niesczesliwa, take you to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward. I promise to cherish and adore you, no matter our fates; to treasure you in sickness in health, in poverty and wealth, and to be there by your side, until death do us part." The anxiety seems to fade away as she begins, amber eyes gazing earnestly into Fettina's own.

Fettina clasps the other woman's hands. She tries not to squirm or seem too nervous while Cantie goes through her vows. This wasn't too much, right? Well, the spy certainly put a lot of effort into her end of things. Only adding to Tina's mounting nervousness. When it was her part of the ceremony, she at least felt more in control of things. Again she has to wonder if Cantie's feelings for her are something she can truly match.

She hadn't realized they were doing the whole 'til death do us part' part.

"Yeah, what she said," Fettina blurts when Amari nods at her. The older man blinks.

"Kidding, I'm kidding!" she laughs. Then begins, full of nerves and scattered thoughts, "I'm sorry. Cantata, you deserve better than that. Probably somebody better than me. But if you'll have me, baby, then I, Fettina... uh, Fettina, promise to love and to keep ya, to protect your heart right beside mine, to shield you from all harm... To work to make you happy, as long as you'll have me." The slender angel smirks. "To be your friend, and your lover, and your bride, from here til' the far side of eternity. And to make whoopee with ya all night long--"

"That was so bad," Naitiri shakes her head.

"That was so nice!" Gelley sniffs.

"You may now kiss the bride," interjects Amari with a cough. "Erm, either one of you."

"Thank God," Tina says, trying to throw her arms around Cantata and pull her into a kiss. She does her best to make it a good one... and for good measure spreads her wings, trying to lift Cantata into the air as she does, twirling while they continue to rise. They simply drift up - no flapping required.

They've almost drifted past where the roof used to be when Fettina visibly changes. The crowd will notice those first. Cantata will feel an odd sensation as the metal seems to pull away from Fettina's cold lips, as it seems to roll back along her numb chrome arms. Beneath is flesh, warm and waiting flesh, and Tina doesn't even seem to notice yet that she's kissing Cantata with her very own lips. That she holds her in soft, slender, human arms.

Tina is a dark haired, dark skinned young lady again. She still has wings, and there are coils of gold around her limbs that wind down to her extremities. Her hands and feet are gold, as if painted so, but they still feel warm and alive.

The Ceremony

In all honesty, it's entirely possible they weren't planning to, and it just slipped out thanks to Cantata's own nervousness. The meaning of the words might be serious, but they are still a rather deeply associated phrase for her.

And indeed, if there is any fear or worry that crosses Cantata's face over this, it dissipates fairly fast when Fettina begins to make her vows. It's hard to stay nervous when the woman you adore is pouring out such heartfelt words, and the spy's cheeks begin to glow pink as she stares back into the angel's bright eyes. It all truly, deeply means a great deal to her - even if the last bit breaks the spell a little, with Cantata guffawing and raising a hand to cover her mouth.

Shaking her head at the silliness, Cantata glances towards Amari, and then back towards Fettina excitedly. The veil is lifted and she breaks out in an elated grin, heart fluttering as arms wrap around one another and lips press together in adoration and delight. The bride's eyes slip closed, Cantata sinking into the kiss - and she only starts to realize what's happening once their feet lift from the floor, lashes fluttering in shock. The clasp around Fettina's shoulders only grows tighter, a little nervous... and as the two part when the need for air makes itself known, Cantata stares at her beloved in amazement, seeing the Fettina's unaltered face for the very first time.

Cantata's hands are far too busy clutching on to sign anything right now, but she doesn't have to. "You're beautiful," her adoring eyes seem to say, the words almost echoing in Fettina's mind. The wonder almost starting to spill out around her, touching the feelings of those in attendance.
