The Stormstruck

When a chaotic evil deity of lightning storms desires a follower, she selects her chosen in a very dramatic display. She seldom cares whether the chosen being desires her gift. Just the fact of her attention invites worship in the form of appeasement.

It happens. People do get struck by lightning. Animals too. Most die. Of those who survive, most endure searing pain for a time, and bear horrible scars for the rest of their lives.

Some are changed, physically and emotionally. Their bodies become vessels that store elemental lightning, and they become mercurial of temperament. Laughing, smiling in one moment, they can be triggered to violent displays with little or no cause.

Template:
Animals with this template gain 2 levels, increase movement by 1 category, (minimum +10 feet/round,) and gain 20 DR vs. Electrical attacks.

Nimbus: a field of electrical energy surrounds the being granting +10 to spot rolls against it. Beings with Int of 2 or more can turn off this field unless threatened. The field inflicts 1d6 damage to anyone touching the nimbus, even indirectly with a 10' pole.

Static Discharge: all claw and bite attacks gain +1d6 electrical damage. Attacks with weapons gain +2 electrical damage.

Lightning Bolt: 1/day per five levels, the character may cast a lightning bolt spell. Damage and other variables assume all of the creature's levels are caster levels. Even if the creature would not have enough levels to cast the spell, the creature with this template can squeeze out a d6 bolt.

Lightning Storm: beginning at Level 10 and granting an additional use every 10 levels, the caster may create a lightning storm which performs as a Call Lightning spell.

Intelligent beings, monstrous and humanoid, gain the template without the bonus levels. Instead, all saves vs. electricity and all damage rolls when using these powers gain +2 electricity bonus damage. Because of the hideous scarring caused by the 'gift' and the reputation of Stormstruck beings, Charisma is reduced by 2. All other benefits of the template are as described.

Thank you. I'm brainstorming, but will comply. I need to figure out the PrC, but I was hoping for suggestions for the template while working on the PrC. I'm trying for +2 (+4 maximum) ECL.
