    Default Eberron One-Shot Ideas?

So I'm going to try starting a new campaign in Khorvaire and since my players voted for more stand alone sessions it'll be similar in nature to Warehouse 13, secret agency traveling around to contain or resolve dangerous threats. Smaller adventures that can be resolved in a single session usually. I can think of a few to plan out but I'm open to ideas from the community for cursed items, dark lords, otherworldly entities and other scenarios that locals would be ill prepared for that my players could handle. They want to travel so any location is an option. I'd appreciate the inspiration if you all would like to share. Thank you.

During the Nights of Long Shadows, the lights go out inside a mining tunnel, and everything in this tunnel is touched by dark magic. After the three nights of darkness are over, workers returned and fixed the lighting. But the ore in these shafts are tainted and summon nasty creatures or have other strange and dangerous effects. Someone needs to go in and mine out the tainted ore, while staving off attacks from horrid creatures.

The party is on a luxury airship for unrelated reasons when a prominent House Lyrander official is found murdered with their brain removed, leading the crew to believe that there are illithid hiding on the ship. The captain and pilot refuse to continue the journey until the killer is found - not wanting to let illithid infiltrators spread into the city - and the party must investigate. If they take too long, more people die in the same way.

Red Herring: A collector of rare magical creatures is smuggling a Brain Eater Dragon wyrmling. It is, in fact, innocent of the crime.
True culprit: Another member of House Lyrander who knew about the smuggled dragon deliberately staged the killing to appear as such, while they were actually just removing a rival. Additional kills are done as an distraction to lay blame on the brain eater dragon further, rather than out of specific malice towards those individuals.

    Another one:
A clash between a number of Mark of Shadow holders from Thuranni and Phiarlan lead to a pile of corpses. The magical energies of their marks, combined with the emotions they felt as they died, have given rise to a number of Sorrowsworn that now rise up from the ground to prey upon the town/city in which the clash occurred. The unburied bodies must be put to rest in order to stem the tide. Unfortunately, there's a number of angry shadows in their way complicating matters.

Complication: Both Houses would very much like the bodies of both sides recovered and turned over to them for burial, experimentation and more. The party can side with one or neither of them, and the Houses may get in the way of creating a permanent solution if it means winning one over their rivals.

    Another one:
A House Cannith warehouse filled to the brim with magical items has suffered from an arcane overload, causing much of the magic to unwind and creating a wild magic zone filled with living spells. The House contracts the players to enter the warehouse and utilise a magic suppression tool (provided by the House) to cleanse the area once all the living spells have been destroyed. Their payment: Any intact magical items remaining in the warehouse. The faster they are, the more reward they get, as the magic is continuing to worsen.

Here's one I developed for Iron kingdoms, but it isn't setting specific. It IS crazy convoluted, but not really that long. Insert names and specific encounters as needed.

City watchmen approach PCs. They have orders to bring the PCs to the mayor. He offers a reward for the return of his teenage son. The boy is off on a damn fool adventure with his loser friend, a washout from the local wizard academy.

They've gone to some abandoned mansion in the city, to hunt for ghosts and treasure. The mayor has tried someone else to return the boy, but is taking too long. Return of the boy is X gp each, and a bonus to do away with the loser friend. His death is not required, but removal from town will do.

Find out at the local wizard academy that the washout was expelled for forbidden studies and illegal and unwise conjurations. The location of the abandoned mansion is also discovered. The academy asks for the recovery of the order's signet ring, offers X gp with a small tip for a quick job.

On the way to the mansion, a gnome named Kilo, bumps into the PCs. He says he is being chased by bounty hunters; who are after a gem Kilo has stolen. Kilo has sold it to a magic shop but the bounty hunters are going to kill him anyway. If the PCs protect him until he can get the gem back, Kilo will give them a map to hidden treasure. The PCs can fight or parlay with the bounty hunters, but either some must survive or they are part of a larger group.

The magic shop has sold the gem to a wizard who paid them with false coins. This has been reported to the watch and the academy. There is a reward XX gp for its recovery, due to the culprit having previous incidents and the nature of the gem. The gem is used for soul trapping.

At the mansion, the PCs encounter troubles roused up by the ghostly inhabitant, a former merchant baron known for dirty tricks. When he died, his rival, a crooked dwarven clan, took over his operations. But he left many sabotaging shenanigans behind. They have tried repeatedly to destroy the mansion, but legal attempts were thwarted by precautions made by the baron before his death. Direct attempts have resulted in the disappearance of several clan members.

Upon catching the boys, the PCs find out
    A) The wizard friend has the gem, and has passed false coins.
    B) Their trap for the ghost, using the gem, will work.
    C) The plan was of dwarven design and was purchased from some gnome (Kilo).
    D) On trapping the ghost, the mansion will crumble.
    E) The bounty hunters still want the gem. The watch still wants the loser wizard. The mayor still wants his son. The academy still wants the ring. Nobody still wants Kilo.
    F) The PCs can have the treasure map.

The treasure map leads to an abandoned hidden dwarven prison that was originally a tomb for a prince. It is also the secret HQ for the crooked dwarven clan's operations. (small dungeon crawl)
