Does anyone have any problem with Jade's proposal of giving everything but the card to Oakley?

I can get another post up in response. Skipsy doesn't have an issue with showing Oakley the rune, but will ask to hang on to it (for someone else's weapon), and is a-okay with handing over the gold.

I thought about having Skipsy go on an explanatory ramble about how the League has directives in place regarding 'the use of recovered artifacts in dealing with local and/or global threats' as a kind of reference to raids/dungeons in WoW. Might still do.

Also, one of the rare situations in which this pops up, as an archaeologist when Skipsy enters a ruin, she's able to identify its original purpose and who built it. Is there anything special that sticks out to her or does it just come across as a normal (ish) human-built church?

The guess re: death knights is probably correct, since other sources of runic magic (tauren, vrykul) were unlikely to be in this area, though it might have been something they brought from overseas it's unlikely.

From what you've seen of it so far it's not out of the ordinary for a church built a century and a half ago.

Party Question: Where to next? Oakley's staying put to suppress the corruption, so he's leaving the party. Referring back to the map there's a fair few places you've yet to explore, some near, some far.

I'm feeling good to keep going. Heck, clearing out the top of the Plateau seems like a good first step. I'm partial to going after the spiders since we don't have enough magic weapons for everyone to fight elementals with.

As a seventh level Barbarian, I now have advantage on Initiative from Feral Instinct.

Oh, shoot, I was gonna ask who wanted to hold the Rogue card. I was gonna nominate Jade, since she can consistently attack with advantage and make use of the sneak attack aspect. She just has to be okay with not attacking the turn she uses it.

Yeah that's a pretty steep cost I've been weighing it in my head a lot

Particularly because the Dominate effect also runs counter to Rage.

Skipsy would love using the Dominate aspect, but she almost never gets advantage on attack rolls so the Sneak Attack aspect isn't gonna do her any good. I think similar story for Emilia.

Jok'lek does have ways of attacking with advantage, but he's in a similar situation as Jade where it's coming at a cost.

Just a heads up, Skipsy's current plan is to cast Tasha's Caustic Brew to try and catch her spiders, the new spiders, and probably also the big spider in a big, goopy AoE.

She maybe could save the spell slot, but this does seem like a really efficient use of a spell-slot.

I mean you’ll get a lot of them, but it’s hard to get back spell slots here.
I say go for it if you think it’s still a good idea on your next turn, a lot can change.

Hm, in that case maybe I could run over to Ox and try to get the spiders off of him to start things off? Or should I hang back for the moment to finish off whatever you spray next turn?

Quick Edit: Maybe attacking the swarm on Skipsy like I initially thought would weaken them enough to kill with the Brew since they resist my damage, that's also an option

Edit 2: Looked up the spell and see that it's a DoT, I'll get on Skipsy's attackers

I'll respond to this fully this evening once I'm back home (got told off for accessing roll20 for maps at work lmao) but you would have to move out of the swarm's square to target the one underneath you, which would provoke an OA.
