Eh, I don't want to speak in guarantees. That route just leads to disappointment.
Assuming you want to date and/or be in a relationship both paths lead to disappointment. In one path you have the disappointment of being turned down, in the other you have the disappointment of it not happening.

I'm not going to speak in certainties, but the trend is that the more you try to get a relationship the closer to certain getting one becomes. It might take longer than you'd like, but it makes it much more certain to happen.

You're attractive, you're intelligent, and evidence suggests you're fun to do things with. That's not going to guarantee that anybody wants to have a romantic candlelit dinner with you, but it does make it a hell of a lot more likely.

It is true that a lot of the lesbians I know like Halo...
I mean, I only know a few lesbians*, but IME they're not interested in anything over eight bits. Although between the two of them and Ashens they've got the entire UK's supply of ZX Spectrums.

I'm mostly joking (although that couple does exist). But if there's a local lesbian Halo night totally go to it. I keep forgetting to go to London Gaymers events despite wanting to meet cool people, and it continually annoys me.

I'm going to attempt the partially invert my day/night rhythm the coming week to see if I can sleep through the worst of the heat whilst taking advantage of the relatively cool night to enjoy my vacation/leave. The heat will drain my energy, so hopefully that'll help me fall asleep early and allow me to pull this off. If it doesn't work, I guess I'll just be dead tired the entire time.

At least I won't have to work through the heat, so I've got the time to try this little experiment.

Pepperoni and Munster melt on low-carb vitamin-enriched whole wheat.

Results: Fairly typical, about what I expected. Realized after eating that I forgot to use any kind of mustard. Still, roughly 7/10.

Also has anyone else seen "cool ranch Dorito" flavored Lays potato chips? That just pisses me off, if they're Lays then they're not Doritos god damn it, just call them cool ranch Lays.

Lays already had ranch flavored potato chips; presumably these ones taste more like Doritos' variation of ranch (and are an attempt by Frito-Lay to use the popularity of one of their created brands to bolster another of their created brands).

Personally I've found that the key to self confidence is to be willing to say "if I fail, I'll just do it again." until you succeed.

Really, I always figured it was the other way around.

If you're confident in yourself then you don't mind failing becuase you can learn from it and try again.

Anyway, it all comes back to the same stuff: You've gotta be right for you before you can be right for anyone or anything else.

So when I'm healing I tend to seek out simpler and simpler TV to watch. Yu-Gi-Oh has proved too much, so I checked iPlayer.

Yep, Bob the Builder is there. That's my next three days sorted.

I grew up with Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam when they were very high quality stop motion. I'm very disappointed at them going to low quality CGI (and the less said about the abomination that is BtB2016 the better). Plus Postman Pat of course.

It's particularly amazing because of the age range they're aimed at. As a toddler I watched these shows, and they're still as good two and a half decades later.

If you want an older audience I recommend Bodger and Badger and Horrible Histories. The former was a big hit with university students during it's original run, and the latter is why I can sing all the monarchs sing William I.

ETA: I think Bluey is on iPlayer, I shall watch it when I have more energy next week.

Thats fair. You should totally check it out when you get a chance, though. It's amazing. My wife's favorite episode is Camping. Mine is Sleepytime. My friends, who dont even have kids, theirs is Army.
