If the investigator sets up for it they can easily be the medic. I forget the fest but there was one that significantly boosted treating injuries in exchange for basically swearing off divine magic, iirc. That plus alchemy access, if they picked that, should give enough in combat healing to pick up somebody downed. No experience with the others so I have no idea if any of the other classes could fill in as well.

The Herbalist archetype is incredible value for healing. I don't have the numbers on hand, but I remember it it working out to be incredibly efficient in terms of amount of healing per day.
